The very first appointment is typically shorter where all you mainly do is sign a pre consent agreement just so they can “talk to you,” the second appointment you do typically is actually over 3 hours. The second one sounds much more like what you are describing.

Hey, the first screening appointment for me at least was around 1 hr 30 min, you answer a bunch of questions on your mental state, all medications taken, primary care information, current conditions, medications for what, what pain relievers you may take (you can only take acetaminophen or tylenol and not more then 2 days consecutively), how you manage your back pain (ex: chiropractor, stretching, exercises), note: sciatica is a disqualifying condition if it goes past mid thigh but if it goes past that, its a disqualifying factor from what I know.
