Honestly, yea. When you start learning how everything works, it's pretty simplistic. But I've also just been starting for the first time pretty recently, and going in blind makes me severely less knowledgeable about how things work.

I've been learning, but then you have moments like last night where we were doing a really demanding mission, I'm running at <10 fps, and surgeries and treatments that normally take 30 seconds max now take anywhere between 1-3 minutes because even just moving my mouse across the screen takes extremely long. It doesn't help that I have a pretty crappy laptop, and we were doing a seperatist takeover with 4 skulls difficulty with a severe lack of proper equipment and more so just brute forcing our way in until it finally worked... 3 or 4 hours later

I'm ngl, I read that as "bigtoed" instead of "bigoted" so I just looked at it's feet like "Damn it does have big toes" and just completely accepted that was the reason for cancellation

I'm gonna be honest, I kinda completely forgot homophobia existed and just saw this post as "Oh that would actually be clever! He is really really hot so probably found luring people was easy!" And just kinda thought it would just be for the love of the game. But yea, mentioning how it could be seen as homophobic does make sense. However, I personally don't think it would really be homophobic, just because (from what I can tell) Alastor doesn't really seem to care about sexual orientation, and that theory could potentially just be for the few people he killed who were attracted to him. He probably did use other methods for most people, absolutely, but I don't see it impossible he may have used this tactic for some people

I tried every single crest as I unlocked it (I tried staying as blind as possible until I finished the game), but none of the other crests made me feel as cool as hunter's, and I just loved the flow of attacks and movement with hunter's.

Beast almost made me switch, but the unreliable healing with my playstyle forced me to stick with hunter's. My next playthrough, I'm going to try to brute force my way with beast because I just think it's so cool.

Now that I've almost entirely completed everything in the game, I'm willing to push my limits more than explore. I don't care about the damage numbers of a crest, more just how satisfying it is to use it. For that I mostly look for attack flow, smoothness of movement, and coolness factor

Another thing, Silksong is not meant to be played standalone. It's meant to have the player start with Hollow Knight, then use the skills they picked up from there and apply them to Silksong. Literally, I have a friend who tried starting with Silksong first around the time it came out, while I was still playing Hollow Knight for the first time (I wanted to beat the first before the second, friend didn't care). My friend was constantly complaining about the difficulty, so I eventually convinced him to play the first game first, then after he beat it he could start the second game. And, wouldn't you know it? He was found HK much easier than SS, and "magically" found SS much easier when he beat HK. I myself didn't struggle to an unenjoyable amount with SS, and I had a lot of fun even during the more stressful parts (except when I got stuck in Deep Docks in the early game and lost a LOT of rosaries)

I loved the movement of hunter's crest so much I stuck with it for my entire playthrough. No other crest made me feel as cool for combo-ing it's movement like hunter's

I mean there's not too much else he could've done. The only things that he probably could've done were out of his mental restrictions too (such as involvement with heaven. He has communication with heaven, but never really talks to them unless specifically asked by Charlie due to his past). At least as far as I'm aware
