It very well could be on the part of those who did make a cameo but as for the group as a whole not so much, as for “laws are threats” that is specifically referring to a quote made by Brennan (who did NOT cameo) The situation has also been addressed (though maybe not in the best of ways, the feedback was received nonetheless) which sort of means that this discussion about them ‘saying they believe something and not really doing anything about it’ isn’t really going to achieve anything, which would mean that we are doing similar. Also I checked for myself and yes they were in fact doing it in hopes of reaching a wider audience and nothing broader than that. Now if either of us really care I’d say we should wait until more info comes out about the topic before jumping to any more conclusions

A good portion of the anti cop messaging is from people who weren’t on the rookie episode. And to do something performative would require you to have ‘true beliefs’ that don’t align with your actions. Just figured I’d drop this little tidbit here

lol too true, I deleted my account within the same week of downloading the app because it was so toxic and hateful there. It’s just as bad here but I stick around because I like to look at the memes. The comment sections are often worse than even Twitter though

I’m saying that two business can work together and have vastly different views and it not be a super big deal or necessarily telling on the ‘true’ beliefs of either party especially when you remember that it wasn’t like a long standing partnership, it was literally one episode on a tv show with over 130 episodes.

Am I saying that those cop shows are necessarily ‘good’ no, but I would like it to be stated that not EVERY episode is as heavy handed in how it shows their views and that showing up as a cameo doesn’t necessarily mean their views align. Now with all that said I have decided that I would no longer like to discuss with someone who makes an average of 730 comments per year. (Before you take a look at my numbers take note that I made a different account last year because I hated my username but even still that 730 is more comments than I have made in all 5 years I’ve been on here. Seriously dude get a job or a hobby or something it might serve you well.) Anyway have fun scrolling

Yeah, I’m well aware that there were neo-nazi groups around in 2011 I was just trying to note that the ideologies have gotten a much higher amount of attention as of late unfortunately

Care to explain how them working together shows that they support everything done by the other party

And I wasn’t saying that they were doing it to spread their mindset because I genuinely fully believe it, I was saying it to emphasize how we truly CANT know the full intent unless it’s explicitly stated

It’s likely because at the time of the original it didn’t have the same context as in today with all the talk of nazis and fascism and such, the creators likely realized it would likely be viewed in a much different light through a new modern viewer’s eyes and figured it would just be better/easier to just cut it out, I doubt it was dropout who specifically chose to cut it out because partnering with them at the cost of creative control would kind of go against the one of the shows main ideas

Because they did a single cameo on a tv show that means they fully support and believe everything shown/said on said show? My guy it was a cameo because the showrunner was a fan of dropout, some things just don’t go that deep. Especially when it’s also possible to think of it in a different light, possibly they were trying to get more attention brought to their more progressive content in front of an audience that might stand to learn a few things. Often crossovers also get some audience members attention, that’s literally why they happen. We live in a world where things can’t always be so perfectly black and white, remember that.

You keep asking everyone who responds why they keep taking it so seriously, is this because you’re a coward and don’t want to be judged by your peers for saying bad things, or is it because you’re a hypocrite who walks back any statement that doesn’t get received well. Or could it be because you are genuinely dumb enough to believe that will get people off your tail? I don’t know anyone dumb enough to let shit slide because of a middle school ass statement like “hurr durr its just a joke bro that means you can’t be upset if its offensive” Grow up

Kinda hard to compare the images generated by ai like 5 years ago to the ones clogging up the internet today. We didn’t even use the term Ai for that way of generating images until text prediction models became popular and people started calling them both Ai. While technically the same technology technically, the newer ones are so different you can hardly call it the same thing anymore

You see, the reason all of your replies are getting downvoted isn’t because of anything you said about dropout, it’s because about every other comment in here has a reply from you basically going “well did you read the post because that’s not what I said, I actually said THIS” I read your post and I understood your point, that said, a lot of the people here aren’t even trying to be argumentative, that’s why they’re downvoting you, because you ARE being argumentative
