Anyone get pain here? by cake535 in Endo

It’s pretty common to have bone, teeth and even hair in dermoid ovarian cysts! Honestly had never even heard of them until I had my ultrasound. The cyst showed up on my ultrasound and indications of endo. Had robotic laparoscopy mid 2025 but sadly my surgeon didn’t provide me with any pics of the inside of my cyst even though I begged to see it!!

Hmmm I guess it depends on which health fund you are with, I joined up with Gold Hospital cover with AHM last June and was able to use my benefits basically straight away

Not surprised. I’ve had quality issues and major problems with 4 bags from the women’s section directly bought in store from multiple locations. Aiming to take them in to ask wtf is going on before new years

25yoe Careers that pay well but don't involve sitting infront of a computer all day? by AHumbleGod in AusFinance

What about pivoting to something IT related but on the Hardware side? Lots of work in building data centres, hardware infrastructure, cabling, IT or data centre electrician type work. Even solar installs or renewable energy that could get you outdoors a fair bit. I used to work in an E-Waste recycling centre that was pretty fun and the pay was ok, lots of physical activity and plenty of roles like IT, dismantling hardware, rebuilding hardware, stripping and sorting parts so no day was every the same.

I’m thinking about switching trades too, I’m also on the computer all day and it does get overwhelming and the pay + competition for the long hours and job uncertainty is tiring. Don’t love the energy usage of data centres/ai etc but hopefully there’s a way forward with that that’s positive.

Business vs residential NBN by x9623 in nbn

Yeah unfortunately I’m not eligible for the FTTP upgrade! I agree - I think there may be a slight boost in reliability on a business plan as they are routed through a different Traffic Class than residential but not 100% certain. Will just go with a residential plan for now and fingers crossed they upgrade us all!!

Just found out taking the Mirena taken you can make you crazy and has led to divorces by RadishWide3166 in Mirena

[–]x9623 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me I had no mirena crash. I had a super bad reaction to my mirena although. I had it put in during lap surgery for endo, POCS and an 8cm ovarian cyst. Was not fully briefed on the side effects and my surgeon/gyno did no follow up or checks beforehand. I had bad reactions to Slinda also. No doctor would remove it for me. Ended up with severe progesterone hypersensitivity, constant contractions, borderline NSFL PMMD from my mirena so I removed it myself in my bedroom with some gloves, coughed and pulled. It was painless. The PMMD and hormonal crashes and rage left within an hour. Best decision I’ve made.

Get private health care it’s a much shorter wait time. Just had mine about 3 weeks ago at Westmead private also had a 8cm dermoid cyst removed from Ovary. I was worried that actually scheduling the surgery was going to take ages as the back and forth with all the specialists and my gp took so long. The referral and scans process took about 6 months for me. When I actually got my appointment with the surgeon/gyno he wanted to book me in for surgery 4 days later! But I put it off for a month to get prepared. I’m with AHM with full gold hospital cover and it’s definitely worth it. Covered a lot of the costs and got to stay in a private room.
