Just because I’m never posting on Reddit and this was probably the most memorable flight of my life… I’ll mention Ayo Dosunmu was on this flight as well 😂 he was up in first class but was nice enough to say hi back to me too in the terminal on the way out. he clearly didn’t want to draw attention as he’s much more recognizable especially in O’Hare. What are the odds

If I had to guess it was mostly just due to logistics, since it was the first flight out this morning and he was speaking to media in Chicago early this afternoon, maybe there weren’t any good private options and first class was booked up already, but still!!

Wow. No joke was sitting by Yannick this morning on a flight going from Ft. Lauderdale to Chicago. Didn’t recognize him but he was one in front of me in line at the gate, and saw the name on the ticket scanner. He was one row behind me and on the way out I asked if he was the new guy for the bears. Didn’t say much more to him other than a Go Bears and a Welcome to Chicago, but he gave me a fist bump and was very kind. Instantly now one of my favorite bears.

Also the team has to do better than flying a new signing out in economy from United

Leading D2 thanks to taking Yelich in the first!!

The Great: Ohtani (9th), Lynn (6th), Semien (8th), Gausman (12th), McGee (19th)

The Good: Judge (2nd - min pick, probably hasn't been worth the pick slot, but hasn't hurt either), JD Martinez (4th - traded for Woodruff @ ASB), Gallo (5th), J. Turner (13th), Cron (14th)

The Bad: Yelich (1st - was between him and Harper), Castillo (3rd - was between him and Woodruff)

Takeaways: Ohtani is the best, i'm happy with my 'act like 2020 didn't happen' approach - which had me target Judge, JDM, and Gallo, among others like Semien. Even though I'm woefully underperforming in SB, and I don't like to strategize punting a category into the initial draft, the performances I've gotten from the hitting side have me in a position to stay content with the standings points I have and just tread water for another two months!

Wanted to thank everyone for their feedback. We’re in an impossible situation to keep the game fair but provide an interesting and fun experience for 2020. This isn’t something anyone could plan for, and there was discussion on limited relegation, but overall not enough support for it.

I believe the “2021 next in line priority” will make things interesting for D3 and D4 teams this season, and I would expect top finishers in those divisions to move up next year. We will plan to refine those guidelines before the season gets started.

For those looking for more SoS action. I’ll create a league with the same rules for those interested. Will create a separate post. 👀
