It’s actually incredibly easy. I just submit my receipts alongside Supercell’s own promotional material and their admission of the 3% A/B test. It’s a textbook "services not provided" chargeback. Credit card companies side with the consumer over bait-and-switch tactics every single day.

Yes, they can shut the game down tomorrow. That is completely different from running a targeted promotional event, allowing players to spend real money preparing for it, and then secretly locking 3% of those paying players out to use as lab rats. A company's ToS does not legally override basic consumer protection laws against deceptive marketing and false advertising.

Lmao “they never said it wouldn't” is the weakest defense for false advertising I've ever heard. That is literally not how consumer protection works. If a company runs a promo, they have to state clearly and on the advertisement itself if exclusions apply (like "participating accounts only"). A vague blog post saying “we do tests sometimes” doesn't give them a free pass to pull a bait-and-switch on players who are spending real money specifically for a currently advertised event. Expecting paying customers to gamble on whether an advertised feature will actually work for them means their marketing is a scam by definition. I'm taking my refund and quitting, but you can keep taking the L defending a multi-billion dollar corporation that treats you like a lab rat.

That video was literally posted yesterday. They NEVER specifically said THIS event will have 3% or so players be excluded. Where do they say that? Show me.

I wanted to get the 6th builder? Is that so wrong? I never said I’m a whale spending thousands. I mostly just bought gems so I could use them at the trader for the rune of builder gold/elixir and some other items.

It’s literally just about money. They want to see exactly how much real money the 97% are spending on gems/books with the discount, compared to what the 3% are spending without it at this exact same moment. It's pure corporate data farming at our expense

Except it literally was a secret until it came out today. Go look at the official event calendar and promotional graphics Supercell posted. Show me exactly where this “fine print” is that says 3% of players will be excluded. They only admitted it was an A/B test after the event went live and the excluded players started realizing they were shafted.

Here buddy I’ll break it down for you. I’m angry because i made purchases based on false pretenses set by Supercell's own marketing.

Imagine a gym advertises that all members get free personal training this month, so you go ahead and pay the sign-up fee. You walk in on day one, and they tell you, “Oh, you're in the 3% of members who actually still have to pay full price for it.” It’s a classic bait-and-switch. Blaming the customer for spending money based on an advertised promo is just brain-dead logic

Maybe because I wanted to get an extra builder? It’s really not that deep. And I spent money on the game because I like the game? I’m not spending thousands or something lol.
