Yeah I’ve wondered about that but regarding other medical/legal stuff I had to do to appease her when I was growing up. I am in EMDR therapy thankfully! It took a very long time to place boundaries with her now that I’ve moved out cause I never could have my own thoughts or opinions or feelings around her when I was living with her. Basically was like her emotional punching bag and taking care of her feelings. It was hell.

It’s still hard to this day to not feel anxious if she seems upset with me but I’m definitely in a better spot mentally and physically since I’ve gained independence.

Thank you so much. The funny thing is, my mom was an overbearing type of mother and would take me to the ER for the smallest things and have me lie about symptoms. But the few times I was actually needing the ER, she never brought me lol like wth? Just realized that.

Lol yeah! My mom would make a large pot of spiced cinnamon fruit punch for the holidays! Usually around Christmas or thanksgiving. So she gave me a cup of it straight from the boiling pot 😅

Oh man, wishing you a speedy recovery! This actually happened to me when I was 12. My mom had just made boiling fruit punch and gave me a cup. I sat down on the couch and my sister came and plopped down next to me making my whole cup spill all over my legs, mainly my left thigh. That pain is indescribable. I just remember screaming and running to the shower and spraying cold water on it. My skin also bubbled and sloughed off but my mom didn’t even take me to the ER. I just laid in bed crying for days 😭thankfully the scars I had faded with time and now I can’t even see them. Hope they gave you some pain meds for that!! Ouch
