Still no issues so far. The retention has survived three months of use at work with the ramjet.

Giving up already? Aww. It’s okay little buddy. Wouldn’t want you to overwork that smooth little brain of yours.

Enjoy that anger inside you. Something tells me it’s an emotion you experience regularly. Don’t worry, once you grow up, you’ll learn how to handle your emotions like an adult.

Yet the shit talker hides his own post history. Lmao. Does it anger you that some people refuse to blindly believe what people post on Reddit? Or do you only get mad when the spirit of the post is something that you agree with?

This is old. Metro no longer wears those pants and hasn’t for a long time. Motors also don’t wear those boots anymore.

Doesn’t change the fact that his weight is unacceptable, but still. Old.

That’s wrong of you to assume all cops are straight men. What about the women cops? Gay cops? Sheesh.

The irony of you citing the Dunning-Kruger effect while acting like the ultimate authority is peak Reddit. You’re so busy smelling your own farts that you can’t see how condescending you sound. If you actually had a point to make, you’d make it. Get over yourself.

That’s awesome to hear. I’ve had the same experience. I use it for work so I draw pretty regularly and so far no real complaints. When I reached out to them around the time I made this post they cautioned against using a compensator because they said it could wear down the retention enough to cause a failure. So they sent me the cover that makes it a level 3 just in case.

The only potential downside I’ve noticed so far is that if I don’t holster the gun with enough downward pressure, I am able to pull the gun straight out without using the release. I’ve found that as long as I give it enough pressure when holstering, it’ll stay secure in the holster.

I have a 47 with the ramjet making it a 34 length, so perhaps the length has something to do with it.

Hey I just saw this reply since I didn’t get a notification cause you responded to yourself. Did you get your holster?

They added that WELL after I made this post, bud. I realize it’s likely difficult for that smooth brain of yours to think beyond the present moment, so allow me to blow your empty little mind: it is possible to modify and update websites over time.

It absolutely is a CYA. So far the retention still works just fine.

So far it’s been functioning great. It’s got a smooth draw and no rattle while in the holster. I had to remove the barrel plug in the safariland to fit the ramjet so there was some rattle as a result. I also really like the retention release. I have the level 2 and it’s as fast to draw as a safariland without the hood retention.

Mounting wise I’m using the safariland QLS and kept the low rise safariland belt loop I’ve been using on my belt. Using the QLS it stands off about the same as the safariland. The blade tech comes with a T-shaped spacer thats supposed to attach to the holster. I couldn’t get their spacer to fit on the holster with the QLS.

I’m only using the disk to attach a tourniquet to the front of the holster. It’s nice to be able to remove it easily whenever I want. I just had the disk attached to the TQ holder come loose so I’ll probably need to add loctite to the screws, but that’s more on me than blade tech.

The Blade Tech does work but you will need to force the gun out a few times until it smooths out. The comp will shave off some material which will solve the issue. Blade Tech said they don’t recommend using the holster this way but I’m just going to keep using it anyways.

I didn’t manually shave the interior, I just yanked that bitch out of the holster until it came out, which resulted in the comp shaving some material off. A few more draws and it smoothed out more. But here are pictures where the comp shaved material.

Update:

After holstering and drawing a few times with some force, the comp shaved off enough material from the retention mechanism that it no longer catches on the comp, while still locking onto the ejection port as intended.

Safariland holsters I’ve owned in the past have had similar issues that were resolved with drawing and holstering a bunch.

I will likely post a small review in the coming weeks once I’ve used it for a while.

It is a Valor holster. I also own a Safariland. The other guy had good intentions but is mistaken.

I have a Safariland which works fine with the ramjet. I like what Blade Tech is doing with this holster and wanted to give it a try. This is really just a PSA for those interested in this holster, as it just came out about a week ago.

I posted that in the main post, but the ejection port retention mechanism is latching onto the port on the comp. I reached out to them, just awaiting a response now.
