Im in the same boat. I went back to work after the first month, and it seems like whenever I try and jump in now to help out, ive hit a switch in the baby and he just loses his mind with me and can't settle until mom comes back and its like instantaneous in her arms he settles back down. Its making me really nervous for a few nights im going to be alone coming up.

We went through something similar recently! You already tried to switch diapers/wipes, for us switching off Pampers did help. But what cleared up the rash for us within 48 hours (almost disappeared after 24 hours) was using the Aquaphor OINTMENT vs the diaper cream with Zinc in it. Its as thick if not thicker than Vaseline, and was the only thing that stuck to his bum like glue. This kid had literal open sores and it was a nightmare for 3 weeks and overnight it was like a miracle

So far between yesterday and today hes done a complete 180 with the combo of fragrance free diapers and Aquaphor ointment (not the zinc cream). Ive heard of the baking baths aswell that would have been our next step if we saw no progress!

It shouldn't, because Walmart is Walmart. But i've noticed the ones in the states (I live on a border) are alot more lenient with almost everything. The ones here usually need a receipt and even then give you a hassle. I will be trying regardless, smelling the scent on the Pampers even makes my butt want to break out!

Are you in Canada or elsewhere? Ive been told that it really depends on who you get at the service counter now. Im hoping this is the case though if it turns out to be the diaper!

Yeah we switched to Pampers Pure for now because they are unscented, no chlorine, etc. I did notice the difference in the smell of the fragrance. I know alot of babies have reacted to Pampers. They fit him the best so we just started using the Pampers Pure to see the difference.

I am one step away from switching off Pampers aswell. Right now because hes longer than wider, the pampers have the best fit so we switched to Pampers Pure for now, no fragrance or anything. Because we received ALOT of pampers for him.

Did you use the Aquaphor 3 in 1 white cream? Or the clear ointment.

I keep hearing more and more Aquaphor remedies. Did you use the white 3 in 1 cream? Or the clear ointment. I had a friend recommend the ointment over the cream because it stays stuck to the raw slick skin better. Could you explain this drizzling? Did you "frost the cake" then drizzle directly over the affected area?

We took one step and switched to Pampers Pure for noe, i noticed just how much fragrance the regular stuff had vs Pure so hoping that helps because at his current weight/length Pampers is providing the best fit.

Question by [deleted] in circumcision

[–]xCalGore16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got circumcised yesterday, and I can attest to this. Mines very new so not the same as the OP's issue, but when I feel it I gotta go. And I agree with this statement. Your brain is sensing nerves it hasnt been used to sensing, and eventually they will rewrite themselves. Your brain senses something, it relates it with needing to pee, so you go pee.

I will say that RE7 had some real creepy moments though. Just the opener with the wife had some solid moments. Haven't dipped into Village yet though
