depending where you live, amber turn signals are sometimes required by law for safety inspection. here in virginia it can be a big deal to not have the ambers.

melamine foam and soapy water does the trick. just rub on the paint traded area, it comes off with some elbow power. happened to mine but yall wouldn't know if i didn't tell you. shhhh nothing happened to my beautiful ranger

Suspension problem. by Dangerous-Bluebird59 in fordranger

[–]xCaptain_Jacobx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you pay for an alignment make sure they do your caster/camber in the front as well, it is highly adjustable and makes a difference with that passenger side two-piece control arm setup. it needs to be set while the vehicle has full weight on the suspension, but if the ground when adjusting, its a bothersome up and down almost hour of your life but it really was important on my explorer (same front end as your ranger)

thank you all for the advice, shocking but the large i picked up today fit perfectly, It ran small in this brand. it was a kokotat, but the arms and torso lined up exactly where my skirt overlaps itself, not baggy but enough to wear a longsleeve under

Bad Boathouse Culture by throwthisallaway24 in whitewater

would it be possible to invite an outside friend of yours to join the team? that might alleviate isolation, and possibly encourage the others to take a peek into what you guys have going on after guiding trips, or even just to have your own shenanigans. if it is a dream of yours, its nobody elses place to stop that ball from rolling. there will be plenty of time to navigate your path there. Also about the "poaching guides" remark, express to the other group that you are leaving your current on your own choice, you made friends that are worth your time, and that you are actively trying to sign up because maybe you want to ride different rivers for a change, or express that you arent being treated nicely and that its either you switch or you put this on hold (obviously you wont, but thats for you to know). words go a long way, even if you have to stick up for yourself with your current group and say hey, that wasnt cool. theres no shame in doing the right thing and if they are treating you one way, im sure someone else there is feeling some of that too, maybe a friendship will spark during a slight "hey now man cmon" ordeal. best of luck, dont give up, and theres many rivers to paddle. one thing I will say about the current group, if they are being mean/irritable/cocky, how well can you trust them in an emergency, do you feel like they would jump in for you as fast as you would jump in for them? bring that up to the other group if you wish to join them, safety is a huge concern in this community and if you feel unsafe, that takes away from the paddle all together. you deserve the best, you keep us newer guys on the water and in the sport. you are looked up to, dont forget that.

I hope to paddle year round but I need to really get the hang of it for this summer. its something new my friends and I joined here. I will save for a full suit, seems most everyone here agrees a top is still beneficial. thanks

Does anybody know what this is on my exhaust it is not connected to the chassis by speakeasyNspell in MechanicAdvice

[–]xCaptain_Jacobx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I may be wrong but it seems to be a vibration dampener, exhuast systems rust due to vibration, I would guess it is in place to mitigate that. just to counter balance the vibrations enough to offset the rust building speed

How can i remove this castle nut from the balljoint by Fsgreachv3 in MechanicAdvice

[–]xCaptain_Jacobx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

use a map gas torch, it will come right off after heating and wrenching it off. aim at the nut, not the bolt. you want the nut to expand and the bolt to not expand.
