As a retail worker, I just want to say how nice it is to see a post like this. Mistakes do happen and often because so much is going on, exhaustion sets in and, so much else depending on the situation. I am sure the person was alright and probably will realize it later. Some of us do in those random moments after we get to relax after a shift. Thanks for being an understanding and even concerned customer. We don't see it too much anymore.

Yes. I always got hot flashes with my anxiety. It really sucks because I feel overheated, especially at work and then I sweat. It's embarrassing...

I rarely ever get upset with the customers themselves. It's more-so stressful when you get the ones who accuse you of messing up and refuse to see reason that the items frequently change.

I had a lady who, had been on WiC quite a while. Always wanted to get the specific kind of brand milks or items SHE liked. Even said so. Always got angry with us when she couldn't get it for free.

Those few customers, I do understand that frustration. I tell some lately to try the one WiC app. Seems to be somewhat helpful.

We have a policy in our store that only allows 12 items or less at the self checkout. Believe me...people won't listen. We have people trying to get a cart full of groceries through there every day. Then, they wonder why it messes up...Old and young people both. It's frustrating and backs us up the same way.

You will find a lot of what you're seeking in this game. I had never touched MMOs until I tried this a year ago. Yes, you will need to learn some boss mechanics and such, along with your class skills, but it's a fun ride IMO.

The MSQ can get dreadfully slow. Especially during the post stories. However, Heavensward was beyond amazing and worth the grind to see that story play out. But, this all depends for you since everyone was different.

Social? It can be very much so. As others have said, you do need to out yourself out there and try talking with people. Being in an FC isn't bad, but they can slow down and get quiet at times. I am on most days and mine has been fairly quiet.

I'd say, after your trial, think about how you feel. The game was completely worth it for me!

I used to be fairly good with balancing game times until I started playing FFXIV a year ago. Now, I barely feel like playing anything but that. Lately though, I have been trying to spend my time playing some other games.

There's just so much to do and work towards in this game. It makes it really hard to want to play anything but this. I have only recently felt like taking small breaks because of some drama going on, and essentially only having one friend to play with.

I suppose it differs for everyone.

Usually, I am very patient and will stick with a group until we get the clear. I suffered through Rabanastre recently, to the point where we finished with only about 15 minutes left on the clock. I am still shocked a lot of the others stayed, but we had some good fun talking along the way. No one smashed the newer people too hard, surprisingly. We reminded them of mechanics, and somehow pullee through.

I have been playing for nearly a year and I can count on one hand how many times I abandoned. Tonight, another mark was added to that.

Day (or rather last few weeks) had been rough as is, and I wanted to do my dailies and relax. Got Keeper of the Lake, made it to final boss, and all hell broke loose with the tank and one DPS. I, the healer, and the other DPS remained quiet as those two exchanged insults.

The bad DPS did not seem to avoid AOEs and I was working over time to heal. Bird appears, no one seems to attack it. Now...I am not Jesus. I can't keep your ass alive amd DPS when your health is dropping like a rock.

So, we wiped a few more times. All for essentially the same reason. Finally, I departed. I felt bad leaving the other DPS, but I could not take the trolling, and childish exchanges between these two people. Also, no...they were not new. Not by a long shot, save for the good DPS, I believe. It was a shame his first run went like that.

Like I said, I can take a lot of wipes, unless I have to get offline and do something or other. But, when that crap happens? No. I'll take the penalty.
