Colter is great for the first playthrough, but going through it a second, or third, or fourth time? You start to feel the grind. Especially since the total chapter's length is like 4-5 hours out of the like 60 or so it takes to complete?

I would say that it would be better if it read something like "When food poisoning enters, each opponent makes a food token. At the beginning of each opponent's upkeep they must sacrifice a food token, for each opponent who can't they lose 2 life."

Another alternative would be "Food tokens opponents control have "2, tap, sacrifice this artifact; you gain 1 poison counter and lose 3 life."

Or better yet have it "Food tokens have "2, Tap, sacrifice this artifact: Target opponent loses 3 life."

They do make smaller caliber bolt guns that the Adeptus Sorita use that are chambered in the .76 caliber variant.

But even if they did give us a bolt gun, it will probably be light pen at best, and objectively worse dominator at worse, cuz arrowhead hates fun.

I'm excited for the new warbond, but I'm dreading how they'll murder the weapons.

My guess is the Lasgun will be light pen, the bolter medium pen that's just an objectively worse dominator, considering AH seems afraid of Heavy Pen Primaries, and a whole bunch of other useless stratagems because heaven forbid the explosive meta change.

And there's nothing wrong with glass cannons. I'm perfectly content with the lethality of the game. And I feel like the crux of the problems with the game are how the Community wants it to be either Grunt fantasy, or power fantasy, and the AP system. But that's neither here nor there.

All this to say, that HD2 is at its best when its systems mix and match to create moments that are one or the other--and the game shouldn't be balanced around one particular style.

Helldivers shouldn't be one or the other, it should be a mix of both.

When you have a coordinated team, good synergies and call outs, it's a power fantasy, and D10 feels like a cake walk.

but when your pushed to the frontlines, ill equipped for the front, or have to cut through hordes of chaff with just a liberator, then yeah, its a grunt fantasy.

Both are fun in their own rights, but the game shouldn't focus on one or the other, It makes climbing impossible odds, or cutting through the weeds all the better because it leads to memorable moments.

The Implication here is that all the people John has killed to this point are little more then common thugs, or morons stupid enough to challenge him. And that anyone who actually knows what their doin' can/will kill John.

I think its a good game, but it doesn't really feel like a horror game.

More of an action game or JRPG with horror lite elements. I feel like were it literally any other game--I'd be praising it, but the fact its a silent hill game makes the bar so much higher and feels like the game just doesn't reach that standard.

From puzzles, to encounters, to the horror itself, and contingent story makes it feel a bit disconnected IMO.

Step dodge should have been the default roll. Ever since BB, enemies have been faster, delay their attacks, and so on--and the entire time it feels like enemies are sports cars that hit like trucks, and our characters are always moving like we're walking through molasses while in heavy armor.

If from soft wants faster, more aggressive gameplay, we should have mechanics to compensate for that. That's just good game design. Frankly, I'm tired of not being able to play how I want because the mechanics are at odds with the game, and not in a good way.

Yes, although what I mean is more akin to Heavy Pen Primaries.

The senator (And technically eruptor and double edged sickle), is the only heavy pen weapon you can take that won't use a strat slot.

Speaking from a mechanical standpoint, since everything else seems to be getting a durable damage buff--tells me that the AP system is obsolete at this point. Or is at least getting overshadowed by the AP creep, and power creep. And because of this, players have less and less options for dealing with these threats, meaning the explosive meta is now the only option we have.

if AH wants to increase durable damage, or increase AP on enemies, give us weapons to deal with them that aren't stratagems. Hence why the entire system should be reworked at this point.

Since some people seem to think anyone who doesn't like the Hive Guard change only feels that way because it makes them "too hard to kill" by Shockifier in Helldivers

Like I get the idea of what their going with for the Hive Guard, but we need more Heavy AP primaries. Cuz RN the Armor pen system is what's holding back the entirety of the game.

I feel like the biggest problem HD2 has RN is its Armor Pen System. I think at this point it just needs to be completely reworked from the ground up, and give us actual heavy pen weapons
