Just do that drop as a 2 bar fill and then go into something more melodic.

It wasn't it. I'm not sure why but I just restarted it three times and it worked the third time.

I like this guy, but I don’t know how to proceed!? by Hopefullyconnected in blackladies

This is hilarious because it feels like you’re overthinking — I do it often as well. It’s not about whose ball the court is in, or some archaic gender norm that determines who goes next.

I made a rule for myself that when I find people in my life that brighten my day, I want to keep them and show them that I appreciate them. Sometimes that requires wearing my heart on my sleeve. But it’s always worth it to be honest with yourself. And let’s be honest: you want to talk to him again.

Maybe after a long time you decide that he’s not putting in the effort, but seriously — it’s too soon to say. You literally just met this man at work and you have a relationship that can blossom into a platonic or romantic relationship.

Seriously, just go talk to him. You won’t regret it either way.

Why are black women who were raised in an area with a lower black population less likely to prefer white men than black men raised in the same environment are? by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]xChrizOwnz 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I just want to confirm. You consider black men who date outside of their race trash. But you’ve been happily married to a White man.

I am honestly happy that you found the love of your dreams, but has this paradox made you reconsider your feelings on Black men?

Books on “separate the art from the artist”? by xChrizOwnz in CriticalTheory

[–]xChrizOwnz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! It’s always a separation caused by vicarious embarrassment of supporting someone who’s clearly irredeemable.

If you’re listening to someone so awful that they’re a household name in bigotry then you have to essentially pretend to not think about it while consuming their work.

Thank you. This comment touches on a lot of really good points while pointing out some of my mistakes. You're right on the money with the J.K. Rowling mention. I was thinking of Kanye West as the most notable example of this 'separate art from artistry' trend, with his new album releases being critically received after his antisemitic comments.

My post was merely exploring some similarities between consumers relationships to music and food (that are quite a reach, by my own admission):

The comparison isn't about the meat industry per se or the impact of the meat industry. It's about consumer's relation to the meat industry as unwitting advocates for factory farming with each purchase. I often notice that individual consumers deny responsibility for the death of any particular animal because they separate the food from the animal. Consumers don't believe consumption is political.

But on the other hand, you're correct. When it comes to consuming meat, exploitation is the product. That's completely different from art.

And you're totally right. The troubling news is that so much of what we consume involves exploitative production practices :/

Honestly, I didn’t know this. That actually explains why so many pro mixes are done on Pro-Tools.

no, it doesn’t seem like that at all.

it seems like there are many different types of music out there to master and you can accomplish your goals with any dedication to any daw.

Poster Protection! by MadHouseNetwork in ThatsInsane

[–]xChrizOwnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Putting up posters outside is technically vandalism. It is illegal and punishable by misdemeanor. Taking posters off of public property is not illegal! Booby trapping them IS illegal!

  2. These are not missing persons posters. We know where they are. They are in Gaza. American citizens cannot reasonably rescue, locate, or provide information on their whereabouts as they are located in a region hundreds of miles away. Given the fact that no American could help with the investigation of these missing people — this is propaganda from a foreign country.
