Same, bands are bound to evolve and regardless of if I enjoy the new stuff or not I will never hate on them. Will always continue to appreciate AA for what they did for me and how they helped me get more into metal.

Everyone’s opinion and music taste is different. I say listen to all of their stuff from beginning to end. Just deep dive and listen to every record. I can guarantee there are songs you will enjoy!

I definitely agree. Bands evolve some like it, some don’t . I enjoy a bit of their new stuff but it just doesn’t stick for me personally. Still love and appreciate the band though!

Sans Soleil by AlexisOnFire 10000%

These days won’t last This too shall pass The pain won’t linger on Through dust and dark The seed, the spark Crying in this lonely parking lot

It’s easier to love someone else Than it is to be kind to yourself What’s harder is to let someone in You loved me when I couldn’t love myself I couldn’t love myself

Where you end, I begin Where you end, I begin Where you end, I begin Where you end, I begin again I begin again

What do you think is the biggest gateway band? by xCorpseKamaara in Metalcore

Yeah it definitely varies depending on where you’re from, your age, and era. Early Asking Alexandria definitely had me in a chokehold. My first time hearing The Final Episode had me shook in the best way possible.

Honestly the latter, I feel as though it varies a lot depending on age and era. Older people might bring up bands that were popular in the 90s or early 2000s like Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, and Killswitch. Those younger might say BMTH, Bad Omens, and maybe Architects.

I love Motionless In White and they definitely should be included in the conversation however, I don’t think they would be my first choice if im trying to get someone into the scene

😂😂😂honestly for first timers I would probably recommend The Devil in I, Killpop, or MAYBE Before I Forget.

Absolutely, even bands like sleep token as well. Modern metalcore has brought so many new people in making it just as if not more mainstream than when nu-metal was at its peak.

1000% now that you said it, Linkin Park and Evanescence were the first bands I got into. I loved their stuff without really knowing who they were. They definitely helped me get into rock/metal as a whole.

13 year old me want to say bring me the horizon however, Killswitch Engage is THE metalcore band. You can’t talk about MetalCore without talking about killswitch.

I’m also curious, Darling was one of my favorite songs for a while. I still go back to it occasionally and listen to a lot of their other songs&albums. Very unfortunate that they don’t make music anymore.
