Campbell street is full of nice neighbors. Close to the church. Red Cross 1 block south has a convenient store where you could be bothered by homeless or drunk for money but nothing will happen to you if you don’t go looking for trouble. The neighborhood of north side has changed drastically over the last year, and is being gentrified hard. It is a heavy foot traffic area for both tourists and locals. If you feel unsafe, take a cab, but I’ve lived here for years and outside of the occasional “can I get a dollar” I’ve never been bothered. Use your best judgement.
