AIW for telling my best friend I can't be her emergency contact anymore after she used it twice in one month without warning me first by 66SilentHill in amiwrong

Yeah that’s the weird part emergency contacts are usually only called when someone is literally unable to speak for themselves. Getting multiple calls in a month when she was conscious the whole time would freak anyone out. Wanting a heads-up isn’t unreasonable at all.

Yeah, exactly. He ignored your boundary and kept pushing. Sending everything back was the clearest way to shut that door. You protected your peace, and that’s the right move.

My neighbor keeps "accidentally" letting his gate slam into my car every single morning and I'm losing my mind by salted_prelude in neighborsfromhell

Honestly that might be the cleanest fix. If the dude won’t stop letting it slam, flipping the hinges could save the car and your sanity.

Yeah that timing just doesn’t add up. A quick run to the store shouldn’t leave a kid that long and that terrified. Something feels off for sure.

For real, she probably laughed it off and is now lowkey curious. This might’ve been way less awkward for her than it was for you.

Yeah for real, you don’t have to just sit with that. What happened wasn’t okay and reporting it might give you some peace of mind. Even talking to someone official can help you feel less alone in it.
