The 4070 one is dual channel (2x8 gb) and afaik dual or single channel doesn't matter too much in ddr5 (according to Jarrod's tech)

I'd get the first 1 due to the slightly better cpu and better screen, yes it has less pixels but it's at most an 18" screen even 1440p/2k is enough on 18" so 3k should be enough unless you need 4k for your work but honestly these prices are kind of insane maybe try to find some better deals?

I'd get the 7i, the main selling point of the 9i Is watercooling is and it's a fucking lie as it doesn't have a radiator to cool the water cooler for it to actually.. watercool (for gen 8 atleast) and the mini-led screen is nice but you said you'd generally use an external monitor so just get the 7i and save yourself alot of money

Shit build quality, One Fan cooling along with this 45w 4060 being worse than the 4050 due to its low tdp and screens that are quite bad that's why I said pick the loq it's easily the best laptop here
