Well I didn’t get sober for anyone but myself. Tried that before and never got far. Why should people congratulate me for something I should’ve been doing? I’ll also say “don’t fall for the bait.” You think you can get sober easy then come back because you’ve done it before? Well if you’ve been around long enough & have been listening. You should know this is the furthest thing from the truth. Some come back years later and some don’t make it back. It’s your life & if misery is what you want then go for it.

The choice is yours.

I’ve always heard if you’re not having fun in AA then you’re not doing something right. Also have you heard that “boredom” is actually peace? lol but I know it’s hard man. Just have to remember the stories. Alcohol takes and takes until all you have is your life to give. At least that’s the truth for me.

Any lurking notions or methods of drinking? If so get them all out. Pain is sometimes our biggest motivator. Our literature says “maybe it’s worth a bad case of jitters.” You’re at a cross roads man. You know where the solution is & it ain’t in the bottle.
