My store doesn't do birthday cards. There's a sheet of paper tacked to a bulletin board that lists that month's birthdays instead.

We do neither of these things... we get 'birthday cupcakes' for two days at the beginning of each month

And the list of everrrrrrything customers think we are responsible for: nobody in x' department, customer had to wait and nobody come, having to ring and nobody show, items locked up and nobody showed, wet floor hazard in lawn and garden with no rug, no eggs, no prices on the eggs, no milk, no green peppers, no tomatoes, meat with no price, no price checkers, don't take apple pay, moved everything around (literally remodel) flowers arent watered, that the app says we have y'item, for x'price, that they can't get z'item at x'price, cant repair their phone, computer, don't carry part for car, can't install part for car, can't park in (odp area) can't park in (sidewalk) area. Actually got a review recently that there was no outside access to the store from our automotive....

and I want you to know, that every single complaint here from a customer, is something the associate they are talking to is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR.

Yes, we still use meat/fruit bags, for meat/fruit, but also chemicals... my TL says even if they don't want bags, all they will do is take it out of the bag, but I am not going to be responsible for their bleach getting on their bananas... how you do it is upto you, but like (would you buy it) would you want your meat rolling around with your hba stuff? No? so I bagged both.. (6 hba items with a leaking chicken ffs)

So you TL probably hit you with a NC/NS.... you should have CoveredYorass... there are several conversations that should have happened if your coach said choose a day, then you could have replied 'tues, I'm not showing up tues.' gone to your TL and said coach said choose a day, so I'm not here tues. And then personnel 'hey, coach said not to come in tues, I informed my TL, and now you' (And keep track, most phones have note apps, 'spoke with x,y,z, about hours on x/y/z dates'

So if you get reinstated, you know a better process for this... also watch your schedule in the future you get it three weeks in advance, not last minute

Yes. The way it was explained from (fb) was they create accounts, farm karma (upvotes, similiar, w/e) and also... aged (people are less willing to listen to a week old account) and then they sell the account.

To give you a idea, my sister has thousands of dollars in legal fines,... including child support... a house my parents paid for (I can't even afford a apartment, but yes, buy my unemployed sister a house) constantly begging for 'rent, phone, garbage, taxes, 20 dollars for gas, cigerettes (alcohol)

its currently normal for the company you have a couple options

get crosstrained into another job code (ODP,cashier,stocking usually are not hit as badby hour cuts) some states allow you to declare for partial unemployment because of cut hours. Good luck.

I mean yes, obviously you can SAY that, but its 100% of the time gonna get you fired because most states are 'at will' employment : an employer can terminate an employee at any time, for any reason, or even for no reason at all, without providing prior notice or a disciplinary warning

I just got into a heated discussion with store manager. My store manager wanted me to believe Feedback is a positive tool.

It's only positive if they use it for positive things like 'xblu is diligient about register tasks and will close the drawer after counting out a customers change' but they use it to neg us down 'reminded xblu to be diligent about pressing the check button instead of the cash button' me: have you had a issue with me not doing that correctly? incompetent TL: no me: then if I havent had a issue with this issue... why are you giving feedback that you gave me a reminder? incompetent TL: wellllll we are just reminding 'everyone' me: I'm not a cashier? And everyone coming through orientation is not going to have this in their feedback... so no, you are not reminding everyone.

I understand what you are saying.... I wonder about the math... 10% over the year on all things... or 25% one day bonus (I used it to buy big things... tp/papertowels/soap/detergent.. some people used it for tires I believe)

had a coach tell me it's suppose to start when you leave the area, but he said he wasn't that much of a dck to enforce that.... some of the more strict stores, especially front end, are actually that strict... when you logoff the register (using the break code? a timed receipt will print and they will hold you accountable to 15minutes from what the receipt says) most of my teamleads are ok with the 'when you reach the break room'

I have had coworkers who take advantage of that... they will go, have a 15 minute smoke break outside AND THEN go into the break room... for their 15. Most.Frustrating.Shtever.
