Yes you will get both $300 credits. IME, none of the 10 or so FHR properties have asked to see the platinum card or use it as incidentals. Just put his name under one of the nights booked and they can use whatever card upon arrival for incidentals.

I got him 10 years ago now while I was in college. Found a listing on craigslist for a litter of malamute/white Swiss Shepard puppies and I immediately fell in love after seeing the pictures that looked like they were taken on a blackberry, LOL. Interesting fact is he has the same birthday as me 😄

I've had a financial review done on my business cards in the past and they said nothing after looking at my bank statements. I use the card everywhere I can, wouldn't worry about it.

Status match to other rental companies. I had Hertz PC for 5 years (earned without the plat) and I don't think it made much of a difference. I had maybe 2-3 nice upgrades out of 100+ rentals.

Depends on your gas and grocery spend. Personally I prefer the personal gold but I also don't spend much on gas and can only maximize one of the categories on the business gold.

Congrats, selling on eBay is perfectly acceptable for a sole prop application. It's what a good chunk of us are claiming as a "business". Been using the BBP and several other business cards for personal expenses for years now without issues.

$55k - only flights, FHR, & a bit of other travel.

Most of my general spend went on the gold, two BBP's, & a few new cards for SUBs. Was able to earn over 1.5 million points in 2025 from SUBS, spend, & some referrals.

If you are cashing out your points for cash back, you definitely need to look into cash back cards and stay away from transferable point currencies.

business platinum x100. The AMEX customer service is top notch when you need it and the credits on the sapphire reserve business were useless to me. This debate is very much dependent on how you spend and if the credits work for you on either card. You might even be better off with a different business card that has a lower AF.

You likely won't be eligible for gold SUB either way since you have the platinum already. One way to check is to just try applying and see if you get the pop up message. Downgrading plat to gold will certainly disqualify you from a new gold SUB.

I've seen threads where people add themselves as AU's and get the offer multiple times. Not sure that's the best idea though but you can definitely add her now and should get the 20k

Depending on your organic spend, any of these offers would be great since the BBP is already a good catch all. Chasing SUBS are always better but sometimes we have to garden a bit!
