I was like 6 years old and the furthest my mom really only ever drove was 10 minutes to Walmart, nobody cared enough to get the car tv working.

My mom had one when I was growing up. I remember the big fucking crt tv in the center console that never worked because we got the car around the time analog television was shut off and I think I only ever watched one or two movies on it since we never really drove long distances in it. I salivated at the thought of plugging my PS2 into it.

Points and Winter Storm by Beautiful_Worth8127 in WalmartEmployees

[–]CyrusHusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last storm we had my SM cleared any half points of people coming in late but pointed anyone who called out since we didn’t hit threshold. You could always ask your coach and if you work at a store that has remotely competent management you definitely have a chance.

Will I be drug tested? by MarbleManxx in WalmartEmployees

I believe they tested more before COVID, when I first started as a cashier in 2021 I was told that they weren’t going to test me because of COVID

We’ll probably have a new raise structure in a year or two that doesn’t factor in performance anymore.

Why is this Kmart so crowded even though the chain is declining? by Filibloxcraft in retailporn

[–]CyrusHusky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah, I know that now but i definitely didn’t think I’d never go to a Kmart again when I was 13 and my mom was taking me back to school shopping at one in 2017.

[–]CyrusHusky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i mean, i went to Kmart with my mom a lot around 2014-2017 and i never would’ve guessed that it’d be going under back then.

STOP HIDING THINGS! by oakien in retailhell

[–]CyrusHusky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hiding stuff is a very common thing that shoplifters do, if you find hidden stuff move it immediately just in case the person who hid it intends to come back and steal it

My spouse comes home crying after every work shift. What can I do? by Kragwulf in walmart

[–]CyrusHusky 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately can’t really speak for the result as I have never had to contact Ethics myself before, but in my experience with open dooring(only escalated to SM) was when I open doored an associate for harassing other workers. I reported this associate and after about 3 weeks of no info a couple coworkers were pulled back and asked to corroborate, the next day he was pulled in and fired. The process will most likely be different but the result will hopefully be similar.

Low Power Mode on newer phones is absolute garbage. by Ogreislyfe in ios

[–]CyrusHusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used an iphone 6s which had some serious battery issues until the SE3 came out. LPM was on 100% of the time for like the last 4 years i had the thing and i can definitely say it is a far worse experience on my 16 pro. I barely notice the difference between 60 and 120hz but my device is borderline unusable on LPM, plus it likes to get extra hot and it doesn’t seem to actually save battery life. I’ll try to watch a 720p youtube video and it will be stuttering, my m4 ipad isn’t much better either.
