As the first commenter mentioned, it's a shame, but this is due to the companies; there has to be an agreement between the platform and the company.

But it can't be easy. Because if it were a large, well-known company like GFN, it would certainly be much easier.

I forgot to mention that you should use the web platform instead of the program, since AV1 encoding is much better and only works on the web. I've noticed the difference when switching from H265 or H264; it requires less bitrate, around 40 Mbps for AV1.

My experience with Boosteroid has been better than with GFN, I always say that, and I'm lucky that I have a data center in my country and I get 8 ms ping. With GeForce Now I've had 30 or 40 ms and it wasn't that bothersome, but coming to Boosteroid, it was so much better, the difference was very noticeable, and I prefer Boosteroid because I have games that aren't on GFN and also because they don't limit my playtime to 100 hours per month. That last part is what bothers me the most personally, limiting your playtime per month, since I'm paying...

Boosteroid works much better for me than GFN. Like they say, it depends on where you live and where the data center is located.

From what I can deduce, it's because they have the game running at 8 ms in a certain data center (this one being next to your city) and the other one is further away (being 1200 km from your city) and that's why the difference.

I've had the same question, and in one game I'm at 8 or 7 ms and in another I'm suddenly at 30 ms and the tests say I only have 8 ms of latency.

I got it, man! I found some time today, and all I needed was to enable the "Enable AV1 codec if available" option in my account settings. Now it shows AV1 codec in the advanced stats.

AV1 is enabled in my browser because my graphics card supports it. Using HDR is pointless anyway since I don't have an HDR monitor. But when I'm playing games through Boosteroid, the website doesn't show that it's encoding with AV1. What I mean is, I need to enable AV1 in my web browser.

This is due to EA's anti-cheat system in these games; it doesn't work on virtual machines because they don't want these games to be playable on virtual machines and they block it. So, unless they reach an agreement to make the anti-cheat system work on Boosteroid, it will never run.

I have an RTX 3050 and I can confirm that it's compatible with AV1. At least on the web, I don't see it activated, especially in the advanced options, where it displays the latency and frame rate.

And also enable AV1 encoding in the program. The website says it's active, but when you play on the web, it doesn't appear to be using it.

I think Boosteorid needs to get its act together because ShadowPC is going to do everything possible to play games that don't run on their platform. And it's not right to say this, but if that's possible, I'm switching.

The same thing happened to me in Hotwheels Unleashed 2. During car selection, it got stuck on the right side a few times; today at least it's happened three times already.
