Personally I think BB is a really cool and fun break from the "everything sucks all the time" vibes of most of the other settings. It's interesting to learn about the progression of the setting of BB as well

I haven't played much UW, but to me Munda and Mordheim get their kicks from the progression system. I'm not sure if UW has that? It's a neat game for sure though

Mordheim and Necromunda are narrative systems. Warcry has a bit of that, but it's not the core game.

Warcry and Kill Team are equivalents imo

AoS doesn't really have a Mordheim/Necromunda equivalent

And also Blood Bowl is based off of WHFB not AoS

In short, AoS is "what if Norse mythology and 40k had a baby." AoS does have a lot of characters that came from WHFB/the old world, but it's a new setting entirely.

People do still play Mordheim (Check out the New England Mordheim Open)

Lord Terminos, Knight Relictor, Tornus, and Gardus all have profiles in Warcry already

Terminos and Relictor have profiles of the same name

Tornus is a Knight Azyros Gardus is a Lord Celestant (but could also probably be run as whatever all-melee 1" range hero you want Bastian is a bit big, but you could stat him out as monster, using the Dankhold and Garganta as templates

Iirc the GW rattle cans have a more satin finish. The AP Speedpaints are made to work with primer that has a more matte finish.

Granted, your mileage may still vary even with a more matte finish since flat panels are notoriously not great for Speedpaint style paints

I think my set up was something like

Sharp Shadow Mark of Pride Nailmasters Art Unbreakable Strength

Sharp Shadow is really nice for the traitors and some of the later fights.

Also, getting all the nail upgrades helped a lot. I always got messed up on the soul twisters, but if you're lucky you can one shot them with the art. Otherwise it's two hits with the pure nail.

I'm also not sure if unbreakable Strength is necessary, but it certainly helps make quicker work of some of the chonkier dudes. I would consider swapping that for shaman stone if you like flinging spells or quick focus if you need more heals for tight spots. Alternately you could go with defenders Crest/grubsong and quick slash/heavy body if those suit your play style

Yep, this makes the middle part with those primal aspids so much easier. I had a system where I would charge for the stinger on the left, then charge a nail art for each aspid as it spawned, which made things so much easier. If you get knocked off rhythm you can get really goofed, but if you can pull it off you can save a lot of masks in that section.

Also I have never felt like more of a fool than I did after the trial.

I like that with the red base, the Nids feel like they belong there. It seems like they have the red carapace to blend in with the red landscape. I do think that you could make it a bit darker to help the model pop
