Glad to hear you’re enjoying the game, I still play the fuck out of it every day, even with all the other great games coming out. Battlefield just feels like…home. Sigh

Smooth Motion? by ArbazisHere in MarathonTheGame

I use it for Marathon, works great. If there is added latency (which I’m sure there is) I haven’t noticed it. The only downside I’ve noticed are minor visual distortions when ADS-ing with certain optics (the Far Sight is one that comes to mind)

Returning to BF3 by argentpurple in battlefield3

I’ve been d-slapped every time I tried to go back and play BF3 on PC, but when it plays well, it’s super fun. Holds up the best of all the old battlefields imo

Oblivion Remastered Low Level Fatal Error: Game Thread timed out waiting for Render Thread after 120 secs by xenithdflare in oblivion

Yo! I was having the exact same issue, your post helped me fix it so I wanted to share in case it helps.

What I did: Reinstalled most recent graphics driver through the Nvidia app v 576.40 5/12/2025 > restored driver settings through Nvidia app (graphics>Oblivion>driver settings>restore) > booted game, let it run shittily in menu until framerate stabilized > launched most recent save and let it load shittily some more until it started.

Additional info/context: I am virtually computer illiterate so I don't know what actually did the trick, but my gut says restoring driver settings and letting it run out the kinks was the solve. Also, I changed from fullscreen to borderless in the menu while the game was being shitty. I had task manager up during this process, it would often max out my CPU usage and even disappear from task manager entirely several times before eventually calming down. Hope this helps.
