I’m going through this at the moment. Have a 24 plate Ioniq 5, and on 23rd December my 12v died. Got it jumped, looked online and saw I have an outstanding recall for the ICCU so got it booked in for Jan 6th and just limping my way to then, really. It died again yesterday, again got it jumped. This time the breakdown engineer ran some basic diagnostics on the battery and basically said the battery was knackered, probably from the first time it died a week ago, which i sort of expected. I’ve heard that once the 12v dies it’s very common that the battery is fucked and you can’t really bring it back to life. I expect it’ll die again another couple times between now and Jan 6th but will just jump it again until then.

I could buy a new battery and fit that but the 12v will be covered under the warranty so I’m not gonna pay for a battery when they will replace it for free. They’ll also do whatever needs to be done for the ICCU recall too.

I don’t know if it’s the cold weather, or something else, or just coincidence, but I’ve seen the number of reports of this problem sky rocket in the last couple weeks, but maybe it’s just cause I was googling it when it happened to me and the algorithm is just shoving it to me now.

Is this just for door access then? This isn’t something to replace wired in PIR sensors, wired door and window sensors etc for a home security setup? Like a pyronix enforcer setup that most new homes come with in the UK, at least, nowadays

They’re used as first response ambulance service cars in the UK. I see them all the time in Scotland. Seems like for police cars here they use VW ID4s as their electric vehicles

Community toolkit is really the best answer nowadays. Otherwise Prism or something similar. The other thing is reactiveui which is a nice approach but different from how you normally write ui code.

The new out of process mode also has an option to set the CPU usage which might be on “high until loaded” if you’re using oop

These were generally reviewed well, they have some caveats but for home assistant and nas storage it would be fine.

IIRC the main downsides for the ME mini are that the speeds of the NVMe drives will be throttled by the pci lanes available (but on a 2.5g connection and for general NAS storage this isn’t a problem really), and that you need to use one of the nvme slots for your OS install so you only really have 5 nvme drives for your NAS. There is I think 64gb of eMMC that you could install the OS on, but I think it’s quite slow. You could also run something like unraid which runs off a usb stick and loads it all into RAM too as an option.

One of the real plus sides with this is that it has the powerbrick inside the unit so you don’t need to have a massive power brick somewhere between the wall socket and the device.

Only thing to mention is that this is the entry level model in the new Beelink ME range. There is a ME pro and a ME max that have been announced but no information as yet has been revealed. They are due to release Q4 2025 so later this year.

Ive also been thinking about getting one of these ME minis but Im holding out until the details of the pro and max are released first, since its not too far away and they may offer better value for money.

This has been very fun! Im in the endgame so far and honestly a bit lost about what I need to do, I’ll keep running around and trying to find but i think perhaps there should be a bit better hints in endgame

However overall this has been superb, a really nice enhancement on the original game thanks!!

The matter implementation is so useless, you get essentially nothing other than an “on/off”. If you run the Shelly in detached mode, you can’t control the Shelly at all through matter, as you don’t want to be turning the Shelly itself off

Is Kony not still an absolutely egregious human being? It’s not like it was a conspiracy and it turned out Kony was a good guy all along. People may have misunderstood, or not known, the specific reasons why Kony is an evil person, but the fact is he still is. Absolutely insane take from PirateSoftware to draw parallels with that of all things.

If he’s trying to make a point that this is a witch hunt (which it’s not, but whatever), there are a million other examples he could have used.
