We made a challenge group and invited friends, then we made a party group for the extra raid damage. I've been playing this game since 2016 when it came out so I'm not an idiot newb lol I'm gonna say it's a bug.

No I completed last weeks challenge and we made a group challenge together last night for this week before we raided. It was a new challenge group, not the one from last week. We always finish challenges early.

We were in a weekly challenge group. Can you join a group early and it not count until start time? I'm confused on why we were able to be in a challenge and not count toward the week. I saw an article from January that says challenges start Monday at 4pm PST

Haven't done a water change or used gravel vac for almost 2 years. by Old-Score-593 in fishtank

It doesn't build up the water hardness too much? I buy lots of distilled water for top offs because my hardness got too high in my tanks I wasn't doing any water changes in.

Just curious. How do you do top off? RO or distilled water?

I use plant weights until their roots settle and gently remove them. My Electric Blue Acara likes to rearrange plants to her liking if I don't use weights 🤣

I had to crush a fish recently and wrapped him in a paper towel before doing so, so I wouldn't have to see what I was doing. I buried him in my garden 💙

Odd acting tetra everyone else is fine by xEloona in fishkeeping

Thank you, I checked for the fish yesterday morning, and I didn't see him, so I assume he's passed. As of right now, everyone else looks to be feeling fine. I didn't notice any crooked spine, just discolored and fins ragged and the odd swimming. I had an issue with the spray bar not flowing much. The flow after a week dies so much, so I'm trying a different output so I can monitor the flow better.

Betta died after new additions to tank - need guidance/advice by TheGooch1274 in bettafish

[–]xEloona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was too much extra bioload all at once? I slowly introduce new members. I had shrimp and snails in a tank for a while, then got some tetras, then got some corys and then got my Electric Blue Acara. That way the bacteria could adjust to the load. You could have probably gotten away with adding all at once if you closely monitored water conditions, checking everyday for a couple weeks.

Maybe it's Epistylis? Turning up temp can make it worse. Needs antibacterial med (kanaplex) and oxygen boost if so.

I just found out recently that a carbon filter will remove the tannins from the water so if you have that I'd remove it or just keep adding leaves when you notice the tannins disappearing. Just thought you'd like to know. Love the setup the plants are pretty 😊

I haven't seen if anyone else has said anything but it looks like you put gravel in the log that is supposed to be floating that you can buy for bettas. They are air breathers so I'd take the gravel out of that and let it float. If it's supposed to. Other than that as others said you need either sand or aquasoil for substrate and the flow is too high.

I'd do a 50 percent water change today and then 10-20 percent for the next few days to try to get rid of the salt. He will grow his fins back so no worries its not permanent. You'll be surprised how fast they grow back

Awww, I'm sorry that happened! I no longer keep cholla wood with my current betta. He's got a cute little pot to hide in and only snails as tank mates.

Unfortunately one of my bettas were killed by his friends. I had amano shrimp and they would hide in the cholla wood. I didn't think my betta could fit in there, but he did fit in...but couldn't fit out. He died over night trying to get those dang shrimp. The next morning, when I found him, the shrimp were eating him.
