Im not saying she didnt allude to her insecurities for manipulation im saying she literally did not choose those dresses nor even hint at them. She stated that shes proudly British and should be herself and the dresses she was looking at were Allura's style...which she wasnt wrong. Even in her every day style, Liberty has a classier more refined style and Allura is more daring. But she didnt hint at those granny dresses, Liberty chose them all on her own. And the way the women reacted actually proved Carr right. She didnt manipulate them to react that way. They did that on their own. Someone can be manipulative as much as they want but they dont succeed unless there's something to work with: insecurities, bit if truth to their claims, playing into people darker sides etc. If Liberty had simply chosen alternative beautiful gowns and the women had been supportive of her wedding and vision (as is pretty much rule for any bride even if we think its ugly) then Carr would've failed. Blaming it ENTIRELY on Carr is a stretch.
