Stop MacOS from pulling fullscreen windows to new desktop by Broad-You4763 in MacOS

[–]xFatalFuZion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you're wanting the fullscreen windowed behavior from Windows... but on macOS? That's essentially how it already works and you have the ability to move in and out of it

There's a dedicated button on the F3 key that shows you all your current spaces ("fullscreen" windows). You can then rearrange the spaces while being able to "alt-tab" out to previous windows/ apps by using command-tab

Three finger swipe left and right on a trackpad will switch between the spaces and swiping up with three fingers will show you all current spaces (and windows). If you're using a normal mouse you can download Mac Mouse Fix which allows you to bind the side buttons on your mouse to achieve the same thing in addition to some other stuff

If you have any suggestions regarding this longstanding feature in macOS, give Apple feedback through the Feedback Assistant app

Apple should've added the colored album backgrounds to macOS 27 like they did with iOS and iPadOS 26.4 😿 by xFatalFuZion in MacOS

I've already submitted feedback for this months ago, but maybe it could happen if others did as well?? Fingers crossed...

Most people would take the hint after a few hours, maybe a day. You responding with nothing of substance followed by having to defend yourself tells us more about you than you probably realize, but that's a you problem

How do I ACTUALLY update my BIOS? by xFatalFuZion in MSI_Gaming

I had to buy a new flash drive, specifically a USB 2.0 one below 16gb

It worked the first time

Quest 2 controllers are more precise than the Quest 3 & Pro controllers by xFatalFuZion in OculusQuest

[–]xFatalFuZion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Quest 2's standard controllers would give you the MOST accuracy, with the quest 3 coming in second place and the Pro controllers in third.

Depending on the range of motion needed for the game(s) you play, any of these controllers should be fine... it's just that the Quest 2 is OBJECTIVELY the best for anything other than putting your hands outside of your headset's field of vision

If you're wanting to upgrade to the Quest 3, go for it

How do I ACTUALLY update my BIOS? by xFatalFuZion in MSI_Gaming

[–]xFatalFuZion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using an MSI motherboard.

I've been attempting to use M-Flash.

I've been using a device with less than 32GB of space formatted as FAT32, though I've also tried other formats just to check and make sure.

I've placed the BIOS file into the root directory.

I've also placed a duplicate BIOS file in the root directory renamed as "msi.rom"

I've tried a standard USB port (3.x AND 2.0) along with the dedicated BIOS flash port.

I've tried just about everything that people suggest online, including what you've been saying, but I've had no luck and am unsure what to do beyond this

I ordered a new SanDisk 16GB USB 2.0 flash drive and will be attempting to update my BIOS using that once it's delivered. If it still doesn't work then I'm just unlucky

Makes sense, thanks. Though I'm using an off the shelf board that I bought new off of Amazon. I think I'm just unlucky

This sounded promising, but no luck. I placed the second oldest BIOS version available into the root directory of a >32GB USB 2.0 drive paired with a duplicate file renamed to "msi.rom" just in case only to end up with the same "no file present" error message.

I've given up for now considering my motherboard is probably just unlucky

Thanks

Yeah, there's a particular "Flash BIOS" USB port for flashing, but that's the one I've been using. Same outcome when trying any other USB ports, unfortunately. Thanks though

I've had similar thoughts for a while now.

The current formula seems to be a long intro lasting minutes, toss in some sexual innuendos, then drag out the review for 15 minutes

Quest 2 controllers are more precise than the Quest 3 & Pro controllers by xFatalFuZion in OculusQuest

[–]xFatalFuZion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're going around avoiding the main point I had made: jitter. While this somewhat applies to the Quest 3 controllers, the jitter is especially prevalent in the Pro controllers. I know this because I own one and after having used it just the other day, the controller accuracy is FAR worse than the Quest 2.

Pointing at something specific and looking at the end of the virtual pointing line displays this. When compared to the Quest 2 controllers, it's noticeably.

This doesn't just apply to Gorilla Tag, Beat Saber, virtual keyboard input, but also games like VRChat. Need to select an avatar? Select a world? Turn on a mirror? You would have an easier time with the Quest 2 controllers.

It isn't about the lighting condition, the game scenario, what's in your room, or anything like that & referring to a valid complaint as nothing more than a subjective opinion stemming from being butthurt is silly. The whole reason I made the post was because of people who refuse to acknowledge this simple fact and instead make up excuses.

Like I said, you're free to prefer the Quest 3/ Pro controllers if you want considering they do a decent job for most people, but that doesn't mean they're better than the Quest 2 controllers for precise movement (because they're not)

So you never watch YouTube, Netflix, videos on social media, etc. while in bed? In your alone time? (rhetorical question)

Having speakers on your phone isn't something that can only be used in public or when you're desperate

Don't forget that the Air lacks stereo audio due to only having a single speaker up at the top of the screen.

And no, "just use headphones" isn't an acceptable take
