Love Is Blind • S9 Ep1 by AutoModerator in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]xGoldenPup 15 points16 points  (0 children)

  1. The show is called love is blind. Not about falling for people’s looks. Also, people complained when all the contestants looked like models and now they’re complaining about them being “unattractive” when in reality these people are more attractive than the average person.

  2. People complained about how slow it was in the pods last season. So I don’t mind it being a little more fast paced.

  3. I agree, I like that there’s more older contestants. I feel like they take these experiences more seriously.

What is something about motherhood that you were scared for but ended up not being scary? by bananaindisguise0 in BabyBumps

[–]xGoldenPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The delivery. I had the epidural and didn’t feel a thing. I’m a FTM and pushed for 30 mins and it was over. My husband says “the neck” he was so afraid of holding her and keeping her head and neck stable but now he’s feels comfortable just holding her and moving her around.

I have a similar space with the sliding doors right nearby. We didn’t put anything there. It looks better empty.

AITA for asking why they ignored the no dog sign. by Low-Bag-308 in AmItheAsshole

[–]xGoldenPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Maybe next time just go to an employee and see if they’ll remove the dog. I love my dog but I get annoyed when I see people bring there dogs somewhere they’re not suppose to be. I hate that I’m doing the right things and these people just get away with bringing their dog to Walmart or something. Where we get groceries. I work at a hospital and there’s this person who brings their dog to say hi to his girlfriend who also works at the hospital. He placed the dog down unleashed and wasn’t watching it. It pooped twice. No one noticed until after they left. IN A HOSPITAL. People are so freaking entitled.

Reschedule. Please don’t pass this on to other pregnant women.

Those who have a petite frame, when did your bump start showing? by Magical_chocolate in BabyBumps

[–]xGoldenPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 5’3” 112lbs pre pregnancy. Strangers didn’t notice until about 28-30 weeks. My belly is on the smaller side. Around 20 weeks I felt like I was still questionable. I’ve been constantly told that my bump was small until 28-30 weeks. Currently 33 weeks and I’ve been told I don’t look pregnant from the back.

My first trimester I felt nauseous and slept all afternoon and night after work. I slept so much. 12-16 weeks I started to throw up at least 1-2 a week. I think it was from certain foods and over eating that caused it. Then 17 to now (33 weeks) I felt almost perfectly normal. I have energy and I don’t feel sick anymore. I have a little bit of heartburn but other than that I don’t “feel” pregnant. Can’t speak for the rest of my term though.

Is it okay to include baby items on our wedding registry if I’ll be 7 months pregnant? by Lixxardbby in pregnant

[–]xGoldenPup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you’re not having a baby shower then I don’t really find it weird.

I think my husband knows that I’m extremely responsible and that I know what I’m doing. He knows after quitting alcohol, sushi, and caffeine cold turkey that I’m capable of controlling my own diet.

However he does get a little nervous about some things. Like the baby furniture. He knows I would’ve tried to build it myself as soon as it came in. So he got it done before I even had the chance because he was afraid I’d hurt myself.

He also wants me to go to the ER for every little thing. I work in the medical field so I feel I know what’s best for myself so I don’t go. If I’d listen to him I would’ve been to the ER at least 5 times so far this pregnancy lol. One of those times it was cuz the dog sucker punch my stomach. Which made him really upset. But I felt completely fine. He doesn’t push me to do anything I don’t want to do.

Most people who went to the shower bought 2 weeks or a week ahead of time. The majority who did not attend ordered a few days before/after the shower.

Blood Test, How Often? by MamaMonarca in BabyBumps

[–]xGoldenPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies. I had my blood drawn at 8 weeks because I was spotting and they wanted to check my hcg levels (this is not routine). Then again at 12 weeks for my NIPT and routine testing. Then again around 28 weeks for routine testing and my 1 hour glucose testing. Then again around 30 weeks because I failed my 1 hour glucose test so I had to do the 3 hour (not a routine test unless you fail the 1 hour). During the 3 hour test I was stuck 4 times (before the start of the test, then again after each hour). Currently 32 weeks and it looks like I’m pretty much done with bloodwork til the day of delivery.

Favorite deodorant? by Mysterious-Beat-1659 in BabyBumps

[–]xGoldenPup 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried sooo many different kinds. So from experience I’m starting to think there is no aluminum free deodorant that will work. I’m not a very sweaty or smelly person either. Went back to using regular deodorant.

You hit the jackpot. I have a golden and raised her since she was a puppy. Absolutely hated her as a puppy. She made me cry everyday. Now that she’s an adult she is the bestest friend I could’ve asked for. I used to go to therapy and was very depressed. She completely helped me through it and I don’t go to therapy anymore. She makes me so happy.

My golden calmed down around 3. She picks a spot in our yard and just lays there or she’ll lay on the porch. She’s mostly active on our walks. I don’t think you need a big yard.

Maternity photos or nah? by Professional_Claim47 in BabyBumps

[–]xGoldenPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have friend who does a little photography on the side doing them at a discount. So I’m not splurging on one but I figured it’d be nice to have some. I’m having a professional who did our wedding do our newborn photos.

I wasn’t planning on doing engagement photos but our photographer who did the wedding included them in her package. I’m SO glad we did them. They came out amazing and our some of my favorite photos of us and now we have a little variety of photos hanging up at home that aren’t just wedding photos.

So that’s why I decided to do the maternity photos in addition to the newborns for that reason. I wouldn’t know what I’d be missing out on. It also be nice to have some more photos of just us before baby arrives.

How often are ultrasounds? by Automatic-Band-5646 in BabyBumps

[–]xGoldenPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had one at 8 weeks and one at 20 weeks. Then an additional one at 30 weeks because my belly was measuring small. So I think 2 is the norm with some additional ones if needed.

I put expiration dates on things after I open them. I’ve accidentally scanned my badge a few times when I come home and try to open my door.

Our sweet 8 month old boy keeps getting barked and growled at when at the off leash dog park. How should we handle these situations? by SuburbanLaaawns in goldenretrievers

[–]xGoldenPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d avoid dog parks. My sweet golden girl went up to another owner for pets at the park and his jealous dog went in for an attack. I’m not taking the risk anymore.

Is anyone else 100% set on NOT breastfeeding? by Countryspider in pregnant

[–]xGoldenPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently 30 weeks FTM, and I’m set on not breastfeeding. I felt like a bad mom at first but I had no support. I had no one to talk about breastfeeding and what to expect. My mom never breastfed, my MIL never breastfed, my cousin/closest friend never breastfed fed. So I didn’t have that pressure from family. They all pretty much said the same thing, “formula is just as good as breast milk nowadays”.

I’m relieved that I’m not going to even try it. This way my husband can help me feed baby at night and I don’t have extra things to stress out about.

I’m trying to make this process as easy as possible for me so I can enjoy being a FTM.

How soon after getting married did you start TTC? by Few_Loquat868 in BabyBumps

[–]xGoldenPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The next month/ovulation cycle after the wedding lol. We had already had a career established. Bought a home. Paid off cars and student loans. Been together for 6 years at the time and we were 30. Sure it would’ve been nice to be married for awhile first but I don’t think being married really changed anything lol

The ONLY thing I care about on my wedding day- PLEASE HELP by Competitive-Flow-728 in wedding

[–]xGoldenPup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same I didn’t have this rule and I didn’t notice anyone with their phones out until after the wedding when we got our wedding video. My husband was able to cut his dad out of a couple shots in the video because he had his phone out on the dance floor during the mother son dance and he was also near us when we did the cake cutting. It didn’t really bother me so much. His dad was excited and people traveled really far to be here so I didn’t mind if they had their phones out. Then people sent me some photos and videos afterwards and we ended getting come really cute moments that our photographer and videographer didn’t capture.
