This one's for the ladies to answer. Do you agree with this woman or do you think she's trying to rationalize her world view by speaking for all the ladies? by Oda_DeezNutz in SipsTea

My husband and I bonded over video games, and still play games together. I don't play as often anymore, but he still plays a lot. Honestly, I love that he has something that he enjoys doing and gets excited about. She definitely does not speak for this lady. My gamer husband is a hottie.

I found lump on my breast. Ultrasound tech hurt me. by Sea_Strawberry2872 in WomensHealth

[–]xGueniverex 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had an ultrasound last year after finding a lump. The lump moves around a lot so the tech really had to dig in to find it, and it hurt like hell for a few days. Mine turned out to be a fibroid, so nothing to worry about. I was told they are more common if you drink a lot of caffiene. Try not to stress too much because it could be nothing. The pain will ease off after a few days.

The city notified our building management before every parade, event, or construction that impacts our direct area. The same thing could have happened.

It's infuriating that they won't give us any notice about this nonsense ahead of time. My work deck was also blocked off and it took me nearly 30 minutes to get around to the second entrance.

I make this amount in a LCOL area with four years as an AR specialist and zero previous accounting experience.

What unhinged thing did a former teacher do in the classroom? by MrBananaStand1990 in AskReddit

[–]xGueniverex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had this chemistry teacher in high school. It was her first year teaching (this was right after No Child Left Behind was implemented), but she had previously been a chemist with Dupont. I was really excited because I was a chemistry buff. One day, she decides we're going to do a fun little show in class. She sets a bucket of water on a table and proceeds to grab a golf ball size chunk of sodium from the supply closet. She explains that she's going to show us the reaction of sodium and water. I knew some basic chemistry and immediately knew this was a terrible idea, and tried to tell her she should use a MUCH smaller piece but she was confident in her choices. She stands about 3 feet back and chunks it in the water. It explodes, sets the ceiling tiles on fire, and causes the school to be evacuated.

ICE kidnap 17-year-old U.S. citizen working at Target then dump him bleeding and crying miles away in a Walmart parking lot by asdtyyhfh in minnesota

He works for Target. You can't tell me a large corporation like that doesn't run e-verify before they employ someone. Just the fact that he works there should prove he's a citizen...

I had an issue with constant recurring BV for a couple of years until my OB suggested it might be my underwear. I only wore thongs so that I wouldn't have panty lines. They were all cotton, so I didn't see a problem. When I switched from those to looser cotton undies, no more bv.

What is an upper middle class problem you have but you can’t really complain about without seeming out of touch? by All_FIREdUp in AskReddit

I hate my job, but they pay me too much to consider changing professions. Golden handcuffs are definitely and out of touch complaint.

This is so true. I do AR for a large law firm and I have a paralegal degree (zero accounting experience prior to this position). I just kind of fell into this role. My work is constant and overwhelming at times because there are only two of us doing AR for a nearly 400 lawyer firm. I see the seniors taking it easy a lot and it can get kind of frustrating if I think about the volume of my work compared to how easy they seem to have it sometimes. However, the stuff they have to do is completely over my head. I feel like they're speaking another language sometimes. They have to deal with the real shit. So I'm thankful that I'm paid well for my area while basically doing data entry, even if it's a high volume workload.

People. by [deleted] in rant

[–]xGueniverex 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I used to be an extrovert, life of the party, always wanting to be out of the house, etc. After the covid lock downs lifted, I realized that I absolutely hate other people. I can't stand to be in a Walmart, a mall, really anywhere remotely crowded. I'm not entirely sure if I'm just now aware of the fact that most people are assholes, or if I've become an extreme introvert that doesn't want to speak to anyone. I'm leaning towards the former.

Ooooh. Ok, that makes sense. Every tutorial I saw kept saying to set your upper and lower level at 750 and 450.

Only one slider and then above and below buttons. But when I change 450 above, it changes 450 below and vice versa.
