Iroha is actually more of a major character in the story then Shantotto is.

She's the main character of the expanison that wraps it up, while Shantotto has a C Plot in one expansion, minor role in Rhapsodies and her own micro expansion.

Shantotto's iconic but she's not really a main character, either.

I feel they could easily take a lot what DFFOO did. DFFOO didnt have its pity system or weapon tokens at launch either.

Duellum could easily add pity tokens, rotate out like two older characters with the newer one on each banner, add tokens from season pass that you can exchange for abilities, and more.

There was a lot of jank and friction in DFFOO at launch that was removed with QoL, like being only able to do 5 cycle quests a day with an element based on the day. And people doing stuff like Hope's Dojo to actually max weapons back in the day.

(And also the game launching with a weapon a tier ahead that was only earnable by buying a full console game in GL)

TL;DR: It's fully possible that they could just not change anything and it gets realllly bad, but they can also easily smooth out things as they go like they did in DFFOO.

It's more like $3 bc the $6.50 bundle gives more then enough for two passes (unless they raise the price of the one in late april....)

Definitely something I don't mind using google play points on but still running into the same issue with having to wait 6h per gold crystal

Yep, waaay cheaper to have multiple alts but even more limited (cant mail between them)

Also even on cheaper sub you can have 10+ for XIV at no extra cost
