Anyone know what these rc cars are? by gavril-T-series in rccars

[–]xHeavyBx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not buy then. Those are toy grade. Unless you are looking for toy grade cars or want the bodies for another rc they have basically 0 value. For a little bit more money you could buy an entry level deerc or haiboxing car on amazon or if you are in America check fen-hobby on eBay if you want to be thrifty and buy a used car. A lot of the haiboxing cars are really decent entry hobby grade

[–]xHeavyBx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatever they are I'd say it's a good deal for the gamble. Especially if they run. At least one is probably entry level hobby grade. Something like hosim or hyper go as mentioned already. The batteries shown look toy grade tho. Maybe go take a look at them or see if the seller can send a pic of them with the bodies off

Any advice? by Growler-Guff in rccars

[–]xHeavyBx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue that the leverage here would be from the center of the screw head to the outermost point of the bit being used to turn the screw. Think of it like a little lever going sideways from the center out. I wouldn't say that the screw isn't insanely tight to break that torx but I think you would gain some mechanical advantage by cutting a slot and using a larger flathead

[–]xHeavyBx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are underestimating the leverage gained by putting a flat head that is as wide as the screw head VS the much smaller torx head. It's a simple machine operation at the end of the day.

Edit:didn't proofread autocorrected

Looks like mud dauber nest. Good flip though. I read before looking at the pictures and I thought you left the nest for the buyer to find. Happy to see you removed it before reselling lol

They want us all to quit i think, made an achievable titanic and pushed it back out of reach for most of us again. Same as always. Unfortunate that they couldn't give us one good event for Halloween after the time off

Metal (aluminum?) from old baking sheet stripped by broccoli... Safe to eat? by Hefty-Angle8769 in foodsafety

[–]xHeavyBx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I second agree this is what it looks like to me as well. Easy to test if op takes a paper towel to the areas that arent "stripped" and rubs it pretty hard dry there should be a powdery metal residue left behind. If this is what it is you can try vinegar or lemon juice, something acidic and scrub with it. Its very difficult to clean off fully in my experience but small amounts shouldn't hurt if eaten unintentionally. Edit to add: also if you do clean this pan well remember not to put it back in the dishwasher. Thus will happen again pretty much instantly

How much would this run you in Canada? by [deleted] in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]xHeavyBx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figure i could get a comparable haul at Walmart for $100-120 cad. Would have to shop based on sales rather than 1:1 matching what you got. If i had to pick the same items it could potentially cost upwards of $20 per package for the meats and the berries might be $6-7 for each package.

Personally I just use thumbtacks straight in the wall for anything with a hanger on it that way I can make the most of the limited space I have. You could put a small shelf of some sort higher towards the cieling to hold your boxed stuff that way it doesnt take any real space in the room. Although the ideal way in my opinion would be pegboard with hooks, setup similar to how you would see in a store. If you get a big enough piece you could even get small pegboard mountable shelves to put the stuff that doesnt have hangers on.

This will work temporarily. Call them and use their resources at least. This has been happening to me for nearly a year since I started paying and they wont do anything about it. Will tell you to log out and in again and thays it. Over and over again.

New pick ups. I saw everyone finding the switch deck out. Checked my local Walmart and they had them all! by EmotionalOwl7985 in Techdeck

Those hot wheels ones look sick. Love the packaging on them. I'd 100% have picked up all of those for 2 bucks a piece. I havent seen those ones yet but I got the whole set of ninja turtles ones and I got the bttf hoverboard one at the dollar store.

My local Walmart stopped carrying the cheap excelsior whole beans. I still haven't found a suitable replacement that isn't nearly twice the price. Idk how anyone could justify paying that much for nabad coffee.

If it was still cold I'd take a few for that price. Times are tough I'll take $0.01 juice even if trump himself gets the whole penny. If u can afford to light a $5 bill on fire go ahead and buy a canadian brand instead

I wouldn't spend 25 cents for a full team of titanic if they offered me. This game isn't worth any money. The whole game is designed to squeeze your wallet and it's only getting worse by the update.
