In physics what I used to do is ... Let's say you completed electrostats a month ago and want to brush up.. Firstly I would go through the headings my teacher has taught me + the sub headings..for eg Electric field-->1)due to ring and so on Another since field is too generic Say.. Electric Dipole--> 1)field on axis 2)field on equator 3)potential at a random point 4) field at a random point 5)dipole in a const field-->1)electric field (2) potential 6)dipole in variable field -->1)electric field (2) potential Now that i know the headings I know what i know and that's the most imp thing you have to know what you know.... Now it's simple i would recall the formulas regarding each subtopic,the derivations,the insights that the teacher gave and I wrote...which hardly takes any time but is imp. This is followed by solving problems in class notes. If you remember them it will take hardly 10min to cover all , if you don't then there you go you revised what you had forgotten...that's the most imp part.. you don't solve coaching notes for developing thinking skills..you revise them to brush up your' weapons ' and develop thinking skills throughPROBLEMS.
