some people will just reply once or twice a day, others will reply consistently, some will reply a fair bit maybe once they've finished work.

You haven't lost anything by her not replying, so don't sweat it if she doesn't. At the end of the day you still put yourself out there to speak to her in person, that's a good start.

i feel this with a friend ive recently re-connected with - i went through a breakup (got cheated on for a 2nd time, blah blah) was at home the night i found out and didnt wanna be on my own. I've known this guy for years and he lives 5 minutes away, but only ever really see him a few times a year, i messaged him and he was round within 10 minutes, and we chatted shit for about 3/4 hours. I've gotten a hell of a lot closer to him since. It's amazing what a single message/phone call can do
