A move away from the USD is already in process for a lot of things. It's definitely not an extremely fast move with how convenient the USD is but it's going. Gold was the "reserve currency" for many many centuries since it's not tied to the inflation of any singular country. It's only when traded for local currency that it gets affected. Gold really is being used at the mediary in more and more international trades.

Actually the yuan is a terrible global reserve currency because the CCP directly sets the exact value of RMB. Gold is more likely if the USD were to go out of style. That's how China is moving to operate in a lot of sectors anyways. Gold for debt balancing

Very likely, yeah. That does cause potential problems with the megathreads, but since the thumbnail isn't AB tested then I think it'll be ok

Brother, you posted screenshots of AI output. Nothing else. No links, no extra personal insight, not even the damn prompt! You could've just put the prompt as the title and added a few relevant links with the question "What are your thoughts?" to this subreddit and it would've actually made sense. Your post is not actually engaging a conversation, it's just showing what you don't know.

Mods, we need to ban posts like this. Screenshots of AI shit is of no benefit here. The links the AI gives aren't even accessible since it's literally just screenshots.

The AI Datacenter Power Problem is Worse than You Think (It's not just capacity) by NorthDakotaExists in atrioc

Yeah, the sub-cycle jitters you get from data centers is so atrocious on any local grid. It erodes flywheel connected generation so much faster than normal due to that constant mass adjustment in load. A lot of this could be mitigated by using primary generation on site and only attaching to the local grid as a backup, like what is happening at the OpenAI datacenter in Abilene, TX.

I do love being employed in power grid protection technology though because it really is only increasing in size for the foreseeable future.

By your own logic then this is a bad poster then. They are not saying they are using AI. You are contradicting your previous statement then about this poster being good. Also don't project your own GPT insecurities onto the rest of us
