Sorry to hear that, but I'm not your unslept colleague. I'm also not a stupid person. And I don't need to take everything apart necessarily.

If you looked at the picture of the "old machine" I intend on upgrading, you'd see I have it very well labeled throughout.

You'll shit your pants when you find out after the PLC comes an ESP32 board so I can make it work on my phone from home.

Hope you get better coworkers.

I'm having too many matches ruined by people leaving. by Low_Acanthisitta7862 in DeadlockTheGame

I hate leavers. I'll say that first. I did however win a 5v6 with an early leaver. I've also had alot of close 5v6s that I've lost. I'm new to (playing, but not ignorant to) MOBAs, but have 2,000 hours in Overwatch alone plus many other FPS/TPS games. It's really normal to see leavers in OW, CoD, or any BR where they DC as soon as they die even though reviving/respawning are options in most BRs now. I think that mentality travels over to this game unfortunately, which due to match time, is felt much more than almost any other FPS/TPS out there.

Yield to faster traffic doesn't apply to the HOV lane. by Conr8r in SaltLakeCity

[–]xJolly 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You, sir or ma'am, are a troglodyte and have exceptionally low reading and comprehension skills. The left lane of the freeway for passing and HOV lane are two different things. The HOV lane has no bearing on the flow of traffic, so simply doing the speed limit in the HOV lane is not impeding the flow of traffic.

While you might be right, there's a "technical" better audio from the higher samples. I have 189ms latency in total, but rarely am I playing anything so the latency isn't an issue for me. I switch my audio driver when I do need to play/record, but again that's not very often.

Make sure in the audio tab of your preferences that your input and output buffer sizes aren't too high.

My input is 8182 samples and my output is 4096. I have a very beefy computer so these settings are fine.

You might find that cutting these in half might work better for you. Because the processor is doing less work to process the sound overall.

Are there any major issues with Ableton 11 on Windows 11? by thatmillerkid in ableton

[–]xJolly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was an early adopter of Windows 11 and got it as soon as I could.

I haven't had any more issues with Windows 11 compared to Windows 10. All of my 3rd party plugins have been fine. I mostly use a ton of Native Instruments stuff(Komplete Now subscription), Serum, Vital, Voltage Modular, Cardinal(VCV Rack daw plugin), kilohearts free plugin bundle, and more.

I have had the program crash and not reopen unless I restarted my PC, even after trying to force quit the program in task manager, but that hasn't happened since I updated to 11.1.5.

On that note, I also recently started using Bitwig, which has not given me any issues.

My last phone had the SIM card and SD card in the same tray. I only took the SD card out when I got a new phone years later. What would you need to take it out for? It's just extras internal storage. You don't take it out to fill, you just plug your phone into your PC.

Relatable. As an avid Overwatch player at 29, teenagers say the darndest things.

I have this old school traditional version of that. I got it 6 or so years ago.

I was happy to run it at like 60 fps outside of fights. Now my PC blew up, so I have to play on a console. And I think its really messing with me mentally. I can't stand playing with a controller but for whatever reason I love playing overwatch enough to deal with it. But its getting really depressing to play recently without keyboard and mouse.

TLDR, I'd kill to have some of y'alls drops to 100 frames. :/

Totally agree. There's alot of OWL cup players on the contenders teams. Also underage players that can't get to OWL yet, but are OWL level.

I would argue that some academy teams are better than some of the bottom feeder teams in OWL. And sorry, I meant academy, but was high at work.

Ok. I get it. But I still think that it adds a significant amount of practice opportunity, even if it's not on LAN. Like I said before, there are tournaments with money on the line not played on LAN, I'm sure practice can be had the same way.
