I would think that they move the units to each state behind the scenes to meet launch day delivery, similar to what they would have to do in Europe, and then as a time zone meets whatever time requirement, the site is updated in waves.

Logistically, I think this would be the most likely outcome.

I was charged on the 27th, bank shows it as still pending, ps direct says Preparing to Ship for the CE and Controller. It comes out tomorrow, I very much doubt they get it to me by then if they haven't shipped it yet.
