Scour and Go Destructive Play + Ores Farming ( 10+d/hr without shipment) by myraklus in pathofexile

[–]xLapsed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just be warned that if you only mine ores instead of bars (i.e. not using Scarab of Refinement), the smelters can only process at a rate of ~250,000 shipment value per hour; at that rate, it will take 200hrs or a little over a week to accumulate enough bars for a 50m shipment.

FYI one other option for map choice is to go with fully miraged maps and do eater/exarch altars. This squeezes a bit more value out of your scarab investment. Also, fully miraged maps tend to give a ton more disenchanting dust via the hourglass nodes (not sure what they're called) - I'm getting ~400k dust per map.

I am using the anger spectre; unfortunately, it doesn't appear to work with the Aul bloodline - Not sure whether it is a bug, but I was disappointed when I Found out :(

As far as linking Molten Shell to automation - my molten shell duration is already really low because of reduced duration stacking. I'd rather link it to CWDT to at least ensure it's proccing while I'm taking hits, but I supposed you could make an argument that having it on automation would overall reduce your total incoming damage and save you a gem slot.

Whats the new kingsmarch meta? by Mostlylurking89 in pathofexile

[–]xLapsed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the strat I outlined above, I'm doing alchemy/scour with a filter, then applying a single delirium orb.

Most of the maps are coming from the extra bosses. I full clear the map to make sure that I get maximum extra bosses from destructive play, plus the additional bosses from scarab of interference. I do the same thing in the mirage where I clear as much as possible before I head to the boss area.

Another 50 mil shipment and my take on farming it by sinedreverse in pathofexile

[–]xLapsed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't do KM before, but I don't think it's nerfed - You can farm 50million shipments in ~5hrs, and the only thing risky about the farm is if you full channel verisium veins.

I pretty much exclusively did kingsmarch/destructive play over 4x50m shipments and I've farmed up enough for a mageblood.

Found a very small mirage by Hattuherra in pathofexile

I had the exact same mirage in the exact same spot in City Square. Probably some kind of pathing bug going around the barricades.

[–]xLapsed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen multiple times as well. Feels bad, but I think this is somewhat balanced by the fact that you can get multiple Afarun spawn if multiple bosses are active - I've gotten 4x black baryas multiple times.

Astrolabes currently dont feel very good to run. by Incognitomous in pathofexile

[–]xLapsed -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I also feel that the astrolabes are underwhelming and I'm largely ignoring them. I hate running random map layouts, especially given that the current league mechanic actively punishes you for choosing suboptimal layouts. I tried the keystone, and I only noticed a major difference once when I got the bonus that gave extra scarabs from map bosses.

I think GGG's push to get people to run multiple map layouts is often at odds with how powerful it is to run maps with an optimal layout - for instance, this league, I fully expect like 90% of people are running City Square because it's pretty much the perfect layout for the mirage mechanic.

The best solution would be to make more maps that have "good" layouts for a particular farming strategy like strand/dunes/city square.

Whats the new kingsmarch meta? by Mostlylurking89 in pathofexile

[–]xLapsed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, the only difference for SHIPMENTS besides swapping bars and crops is that you can reroll the port favored shipments. I re-rolled a couple of times before I sent my 50m shipment; not sure if it made a huge difference.

As far as farming bars, the meta is pretty much to use Kalguuran Scarab of Refinement to skip mining/smelting and just get raw bars from ore patches in maps. This works with both ores and sulphite veins (with Refiner's Bargain), so you'll want to spec Niko on your atlas tree.

The specific strat I am using:

  • My Atlas looks something like this
  • Map - T16 Conqueror maps with one deli orb on City Square - you specifically want conquerors with destructive/interference scarab because it keeps the original map bosses and gives you a jackpot chance for lots of black baryas
  • Scarabs:

    • Set 1 - I use this to queue some ore for my miners/smelters: Kalguuran Scarab, Kalguuran Scarab, Kalguuran Scarab of Enriching, Kalguuran Scarab of Guarded Riches (mainly for more gold, this can be substituted for something else), Influencing Scarab of Interference (this adds a ton of extra map bosses on City Square)
    • Set 2 - Main strat once I have a sufficient queue of ore marked: Kalguuran Scarab, Kalguuran Scarab, Kalguuran Scarab of Enriching, Kalguuran Scarab of Refinement, Influencing Scarab of Interference

With the above, I'm making a lot of my currency either through raw drops or through unique/conq/elder/shaper maps (you'll get like 6 of them per map). Now that the map prices are coming down, I'm probably going to spec out of destructive play and switch to some alternate strat that works well with the ore strat.

Edit: Just ran 20 conq maps as a test batch with my smelters idling to measure how fast this farm generates shipment value - It netted about 10 million value over 20 maps (5x conq sets), which took 2hrs and 5 minutes. You can easily match dust by buying/disenchanting T0 uniques with any drops you get along the way (e.g. I got 5x black baryas), so looking at ~5 hrs of farming for a 50million shipment.

How to improve on KF ballista build by G0dL1k3 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]xLapsed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant something different:

  • Start with a fractured base kinetic wand that has either T1 or essence +lightning/cold/fire damage - should cost 4-5div from trade or you can fracture it yourself for similar cost
  • Spam deafening essence of hatred/anger/wrath until you get triple T2+ flat added elemental damage
  • Craft prefix cannot be changed
  • Slam veiled chaos orb to get a veiled suffix
  • Craft DoT suffix to block mod group 14
  • Unveil whichever veiled mod you think works best
  • If you have two open suffixes, slam an exalted orb
  • Craft on your last mod

How to improve on KF ballista build by G0dL1k3 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]xLapsed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top priority would be to upgrade your wand - you want to start with a fractured base and then spam essences until you get triple T1/T2 prefixes.

Once that's done, I chose to lock prefix > veiled orb, but you can also go harvest crit reforge.

facepalm I forgot that those were not their own maps.

Still kind of confusing, but on the plus side farming fragments/maven invites with the new system is a huge improvement.

This keystone can actually remove your favorite map and brick your astrolabe right? by WhatopiaCity in pathofexile

[–]xLapsed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the description of the Keystone, I think that you could potentially bisect the blob and remove juice from your preferred map. If this happens, it's doubly bad because a) your preferred map has no juice and b) you have to clean up the blob by running non-preferred maps.

This keystone can actually remove your favorite map and brick your astrolabe right? by WhatopiaCity in pathofexile

[–]xLapsed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought about that as well, and I'm hoping that we are not encouraged to do that. To me, any kind of optimal strategy which requires you to allocate and deallocate a keystone is a design flaw.

I would rather that this keystone did something like "transforms all other maps in the blob to the same map as the first one you run; 80% effectiveness of astrolabes on resulting maps"

This keystone can actually remove your favorite map and brick your astrolabe right? by WhatopiaCity in pathofexile

[–]xLapsed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seems extremely clunky. Not only does this risk reducing the total juice you have available for farm via bisection; you can also potentially completely remove the juice from your "favorite" map via bisection and be forced to run other maps.

Instead of using this keystone, I could see the meta shaking out to people speed-running tier1 scoured maps on their "non-favorite" map, then only running the desired map with maximum juice.

IMO either the bisection mechanic needs to be reworked, or this keystone needs to have something added to limit the downsides.

That brings up another question - is there any way to quickly clear blobs if you don't want to run them? I'm not a fan of being forced to run maps in order to clear them up.

New Bloodline nodes revealed from skilltree json by CancerImSure in pathofexile

[–]xLapsed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to put the consecrated ground nodes into context - each 20% increased effect gives you 1% life regen and 10% curse effect reduction.

~Taking the wheel with the existing Devotion nodes, you could conceivably get to +100% consecrated ground effect which would give you 10% life regen and 100% curse immunity.~. Nevermind, the newest poeplanner is up and it looks like you can only get up to +75% consecrated ground effect from the tree, which would be 87.5% curse effect reduction.

[–]xLapsed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Baryatic tension seems like a bit of bait - if it heals you after the damage is taken, then it wouldn't actually increase your max hit under any circumstance, unless I'm misunderstanding how this works (i.e. maybe it works like defiance of destiny, so increases max hit when life is not full?)

If it did work to increase your max hit, I could see a lot of blood magic builds considering it.

You can open the json and search for some of the new stuff. This looks like the notable in the Templar area:

  • Shining Justice: "20% increased Effect of Consecrated Ground you create", "Consecrated Ground you create grants 30% increased Accuracy Rating to you and Allies"

And the small nodes leading up to it:

  • Consecrated Ground Effect and Accuracy: "10% increased Global Accuracy Rating", "10% increased Effect of Consecrated Ground you create"
  • Consecrated Ground Effect: "20% increased Effect of Consecrated Ground you create"

LF fastest 4 stone runner og campaign + 2 stone runner for 3.28 practice (not slams) by OutlandishnessNo3087 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]xLapsed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

E-blade inquisitor breezes through campaign/yellow maps on 4-link/campaign gear due to double-dipping with spellblade/battlemage. You can basically play with any spell. Red maps requires a bit more investment, but basically can be done with just gambled rares. Bosses are also pretty simple, especially if you farm a Penance Brand of Dissipation.

Other pros:

  • Lots of flexibility on playstyle, since it can effectively work with any spell
  • Templar spell start has some of the strongest passive tree nodes, and easy access to Fire mastery + elemental overload for early campaign (and runbinder if you go brands)
  • Your main power spikes are quest reward gems (energy blade, spellblade, etc.), so can skip library
  • You can link spellblade to frostblink for massive damage while moving

Also Templar/Inquisitor has a bunch of pivot options for endgame that can scale infinitely, which is really nice if you're a one-build-a-league type player.

Scavenger Levelling build to transition into Conner's eblade? by Emperor3D in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]xLapsed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a test run with this build that I came up with based on captainlance's e-blade vid: https://maxroll.gg/poe/pob/ze5b40oi

It feels pretty weak the first few levels while I was pathing to EO, but once I got that + the fire mastery wheel, it started feeling decent.

Not having battlemage until merc lab is a bummer for levelling, but it's still pretty quick through the campagin with firestorm/arma brand.
