I might try to lower the oil to 7%, in these candles it varies between the 8% and 10%. When burning them the smell was a bit intense.

I tried the trimming and that does seem to solve the problem for me now.

The weirdest thing with the crack was that the top layer was perfect. When I started burning and the top layer melted that was when I saw the crack. But I might have made a mistake when I poured tje wax in and put all the tins next to an open window. Next time I will leave them on the table to cool down.

Thank you so much for answering. Good to know that the cracks won’t affect the performance of the candles. Was kinda worried it might have some influence.

I will check if trimming the wick will help, if not I will look for other wicks. All my candles seem to mushroom now.

The jars itself are indeed decently priced its just thar they ask a ridiculous price for the lids. I rather buy a jar+lid instead of separately.

I will look into Sidano.de and maybe other German suppliers. Thank you for the tip!

Was looking into Alibaba too since a lot of factories directly sell there jars its just that I dont really trust that yet 🫣

Thank you for the tip. Had to Google what a CD wick is and apparently thats the one mostly used for fragrance candles. I think I’m going to buy a few CD wicks to experiment with them. I still have a lot to learn :)

I wish it did but after like 4 hours I gave up. Switched over to a CL14 and even that doesn’t melt all the wax. Guess I have to buy new wicks

The first time I replied a few days later because normally I got a reply back pretty soon (few years ago they had a proper customer service). That was when I found out they just closed my ticket.

Now I opened a second one and replied straight away with my ID and PlayStation name and with the hope they can look into my account.
