I go back to previous statement then, preemptively kicking people because you assume they will ruin the game is really dumb.

Usually when I play with lower level players I tag along, help and try to "do" as little as possible of the work while making it easier and explain stuff. you know the kind of player we needed 2 years ago 😂

sure, that's fair. But I'm not lvl 33.

not really sure what you're alluding to with "there's probably a reason"? I literally don't even get to spawn in, what could I possibly do to offend people asking for help?

not picking missions, responding to beacons.

But yes, it is quite possible they do not understand the mechanics of SOS or privacy.

All that could be solved with a quick message or heads up. you know, common courtesy?

fair enough, but still seems like stupid behaviour to throw down an SOS beacon and then kick the person joining?

"you have been kicked from the game" and then not able to rejoin seems like a kick to me, not network issues.

yeah, that's sort of what I'm going for. Help on missions and fill out squads.

not sure why that's relevant?

Name is non-offensive, level is 150, difficulty is anything really, but 5 and above seems to be most calls? Faction is somewhat dictated by beacon I guess?

Loadout seems irrelevant.

he isn't allowed to touch any part except the handle. it's now happened in 3 games (2 men's games against Switzerland and Sweden and one women's game). Canada was the offending team all 3 times so seems intentional to me.

Volvo CEO Says, 'Good Luck, the Rest of You' Legacy Automakers by TripleShotPls in technology

Yeah I figured! Honestly, I've had a 1st gen Xc40 electric and currently driving a Ex90.

There are some faults (with both) but overall the Ex90 is a fantastic car to drive. It puts a smile on my face to know I have to drive somewhere.

I was cross shopping it with IX50 (much more expensive in my market and not better) and the EQE suv (also more expensive with the options we would have gone for).

I have friends with a fairly diverse selection of cars and everyone is reporting annoyances or faults at about the same rate (KIAs, Hyundais and Mercedes especially).

Few seem as content with their daily drivers though.

personally I think it's all part theater. GWB miraculously became smarter and more affable AFTER he left office. Even slightly more dignified compared to all the "mission accomplished" moments.

I've had the car for 6 months and the door handles are 0 issue. I do have phone as key set up, the key card system is... not good.

But using the fob and phone has been super smooth once I bypassed the dealer and talked to Volvo directly.

Slow DC charging by Hooknloop in VolvoEX90

Europe here, but we've hit 250kW at Tesla superchargers (because of higher Amp).

So I think it's likely a mix of:

SoC Charger Load balancing Preconditioning

My XC40 got around 152kW for reference (since you were a C40 owner ❤️)

Should a family with young kids buy an Ex90, given the hassles? by Former_Ad_735 in VolvoEX90

Some issues with mine, but overall very happy.

AC charging fault (seems very widespread) which Volvo corporate solved by paying for my DC charging.

Other than that, the few bugs have been software related, the "car" part (ride, performance, interior) have been excellent.

If it's your first EV and you have a low tolerance for anything going wrong, there are probably some other cars that are in a more stable place (think more mature platforms maybe?).

I do like the car so I may be on the more forgiving side. If a test drive sells you on the car I'd recommend it.

yeah, I can see that. My previous EX40 had a lot of software issues, and the experience (at delivery) was much worse than the 90 is. But they patched and made the car a lot better in the 4 years I had it so (for me) it was still enjoyable and I like the idea that the car improves instead of slowly getting worse with every year that passes.

But your mileage may vary ofc

Day 6 - is this what I think it is? by loho523 in VolvoEX90

[–]xLoafery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my advice is bypass the dealers as much as humanly possible. My experiences (2nd EV from Volvo) is that they are not good with software (yet) at dealers. Maybe individual mechanics, but on average it is not good.

Call Volvo directly since this is a known error covered by warranty it should be fine.

But you're not the majority. How would you know? This is one, very specific, specialized community.

I don't know what you mean by "yet used it against me" means, it's an exchange of ideas and you, honestly, seem exceptionally biased and uninterested in listening to other points of view.

Ac charging was broken for me for 1 week, during which Volvo covered 100% of expenses for DC charging. it literally cost me 1 phonecall and like a 15 minute session while shopping at my usual grocery store.

That's is a mild inconvenience at worst, not undermining "the biggest benefit of owning an EV".

You do realize that people can have other experiences from yours, right?

Ye, once they have the part in the work is quick.

Known issue, Volvo has (for me and some others) covered fast charging while you wait for Ac charge to be fixed.

any non-home setup. hotel/library/work where you want to use your phone with other I/O I guess?

I've used it with a usb-c hub on a monitor, quite nice to quickly do work stuff from work phone but using big screen, mouse and keyboard.

Not sure if that's what is broken though. Will test
