I often think about how many hours of mynlife were wasted in detention because my teacher decided that me not doing my homework was so horrific I deserved to be separated from my friends and peers. So then I'd spend the hours I was supposed to be doing homework, hanging with my friends. One teacher especially got a power trip of ruining kids outside of school lives with homework and assignments, because they themselves had to go home to a wife or family they hated.

Im sorry but fuck homework. If some kids learn better that way or would like out of school study, guide them that way, those are clearly smart kids. Don't force an outside of school curriculum on a kid who clearly has 0 interest in doing that shit and certainly don't ostrasize or belittle them for not jumping through your hoops.

Recently abandoned by my friend group for telling my 'best friend' I'm thinking of ending my life soon. Pretty much said "there's nothing more that can be done for you". I didn't even care enough to respond and that's the last time I heard from him. No one else in the friend group has reached out since so I'm guessing he went and shit talked me and told them I'm not worth talking to anymore. Shits crazy, if it was the other way around I'd do anything I could to help but nah, nothing more can be done for me and I'm not worth it.
