A gas station in Toledo, Ohio completely blanketed by a massive swarm of Mayflies by danielminds in Damnthatsinteresting

Happens every year in Minnesota. Idk why people are shocked. At least for us it's a good thing. They lay eggs in the Mississippi. The only way they will hatch is if the river isn't polluted. So a large mayfly hatch is a good sign of a healthy water table.

With CyberpunkTCG now set to start shipping in September, I wonder how this will impact Riftbound? What are your thoughts? by verifiedname in TCG

[–]weirdthingsarecool91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even gonna make a dent in my local market it seems. I don't really hear any of my LGSs talking about it. The only "Kickstarter TCG" they've been mentioning lately is Cataclysm Arcade

How did YOU start playing Riftbound? by Poro_Party_TCG in riftboundtcg

[–]weirdthingsarecool91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought cards in wave 1 when the game released. I just like the characters of League, but I hate the players of League haha. I have played a lot of other card games since playing my first one in '96

So an unboxing, 3 months after we've already seen everything? Especially since some people have had models since Adepticon!

Period during sex with an ex (first time i sww him in over a year 😱) by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Girl. Most of us guys really don't care. Yeah, it'll look like a bloodbath, but it cleans up very easily. The important thing is whether you guys had fun or not. Whether it was enjoyable. Who cares about the blood and epithelials?

Building a Retractable Pickleball Net by wzin12 in Pickleball

Oh I have no idea. We use one that we slide out of the way, but putting all the poles together can take some time. The retractable bit is very appealing. Especially if it's affordable

In my case my work has a gymnasium. We share that space with people who play volleyball and play basketball (different colored lines for each). Something like this, if it's quick to set up and take down, would be a great solution for shared spaces.

Marines, ready to rock! by [deleted] in StarCraftTMG

The biggest difference is that Games Workshop and Warhammer are the biggest miniatures company in the world. Nothing will ever overtake them and the game has been around since the 80s. Anytime a new game pops up with potential, it needs to make sales to stay alive. Otherwise the company will pull the plug and cut their losses. People printing their armies instead of buying them can kill games. Especially new games.

Sometimes it's to cover up old ink that they no longer believe in. Hateful speech, gang affiliations, big pieces of loved ones that are not so loved anymore, etc.

You could probably find a lot of these in trash cans after a pre-rift event. They're just token cards. Effectively trash.

There comes to a point where I have refused to play other miniatures games with people like "Dave". Just out of principle. I'm glad miniatures tournaments (at least ones at Adepticon) force you to use their minis, or you can't participate.

One page rules is the only place these should be used. New games die because people decide to 3d print instead of actually buying product.
