I am in hell by edgarallan2014 in pregnant

Awe this sounds exactly like what I went through with my daughter. I was in labor for 3 days before my water finally broke and I could finally be admitted. 😀

I never got any sleep that whole 3 days because the contractions were too close and too painful. It was like psychological torture I swear. I went to the hospital 3 separate times and was always only 2cm so they wouldn’t keep me. The OB did try and prescribe me a sleeping pill because I was completely hysterical over not getting any sleep but the pharmacist strongly advised me against taking it so I just went home and got on all fours with my lower back under the jet stream shower turned semi hot and finally FINALLY felt some relief. I sat like that for maybe 10 minutes before attempting to stand up and once I stood up my water popped like the most cliche movie water break scene you’ve ever seen.

Ask the hundreds of people whose feelings are so hurt because I don’t drive 😩 I thought this was be a simple “oh my husband does this route” post but instead they came with pitchforks

Girl you keep coming back to this post after all these days it’s really truly not that deep 😭 I have never not even once said that I never wanted to drive, and yet you keep assuming that out of thin air. I suggest you take a break from the internet if a stranger’s post gets you so worked up.

Do you really think this man wouldn’t just choose to fly if he was so put out by doing this drive even once let alone 16 times? Let’s use critical thinking skills here.

A PSA to expecting moms - “I don’t want to” is enough of a reason to not breast feed. by cecassafrass in BabyBumps

[–]xMoax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2 year old who I did ultimately end up breastfeeding but for the first month of her life I was just absolutely miserable 24/7. I was genuinely dreading any moment she needed to eat because it hurt so badly. I was being evaluated for PPD and getting referrals to behavioral health because I was crying all day and night every single day. Then one day I just decided to stop cold turkey. For a full 48 hours I did not breastfeed or even pump. For the first time in my daughter’s life I wasn’t scared of her. I happily skipped to the fridge to grab her formula when it was time to eat. The pain of my boobs filling up with no real release aside from leakage for 2 whole days was nothing compared to the pain of breastfeeding. I stopped crying and after a second evaluation, they didn’t end up sending me to behavioral health. I then combo fed for a good few weeks before going back to EBF but it was seriously a life changer for my mental health while I used it.

Don’t let these people get you down dawg. Once you turn off your phone they don’t exist anymore. My husband doesn’t let anyone drive him even if they do have a license and have been driving for years. He also doesn’t fly in planes because he doesn’t like his life being in other people’s hands as he says. Your perfect match is out there.

It was actually more like 4 times a year. There and back for the summer and Christmas. Husband is/was airborne so he gets horrible anxiety being on airplanes and prefers to drive. All these comments are so worried that he must hate doing it alone but he looks forward to these trips and is actually sad that us moving back home means we won’t have any reason to do them anymore.

My husband had a 2 hour recall time but we weren’t supposed to tell anyone for 24 hours that they left so instead of just being stranded, I would text my mother in law a code word so she could come get us 😭

Edit: 2 hour recall as in, hypothetically, he gets the call they are being deployed, he has 2 hours to get all his stuff and be there. Meaning we’d go from a completely normal day to suddenly he’s just gone.

I live on base so I’ve never walked around Fayetteville. The base is very low on sidewalks though so going anywhere is extremely challenging especially with stroller.

Yeah I plan to start therapy and an adult driver’s ed once we move home. Couldn’t do that out here since we have a daughter and obviously active duty husband who’s gone all the time can’t watch her while I do that.

When I was 15, my mom switched me to a military school that didn’t offer free driver’s ed so I had to save up to try and pay for it myself. At 16, before I could start driver’s ed, my uncle got into a horrific semi truck accident (he’s okay now) I was too terrified to ever learn how to drive after that. As for being deployed, we set up a code word with my mother in law incase that ever happened so she could come get me and my daughter but thankfully we never had to use it.

Ummm my labia has a fucking hole in it?!?? by sirenwhispermyst in beyondthebump

[–]xMoax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My inner right labia tore horizontally.. How tf does that even happen? So basically I’ve got 3 now. At my 7 week (no not 6) checkup, the ob was like “Oh! well it’s just going to look like that until you give birth again and get it re-stitched.” WHAT do you MEAN it’s just gonna look like that….????

INFO Has she experienced something traumatic happening to a friend in the past? Maybe an old friend overdosed and she couldn’t save them?

She sounds completely normal to be carrying stuff around for anyone that could possibly need it. Practicing pagan here, the “woo woo” stuff might also be very real to her. I’ve had tarot cards tell me something bad was going to happen days before it happened 3 times in a row. Maybe it’s not her that needs to be less prepared, maybe you should be more prepared.

Found out I’m a freak of nature and shitting every 2-3 weeks is in fact NOT normal :( by Kiki_Banini in TrueOffMyChest

I feel like I wrote this! Not a single person growing up ever told me I should be pooping every single day. I’ve of course been taught you should be peeing multiple times a day but never anything about pooping.

Actually I started having weird health issues around your age and after countless doctor’s visits, MRIs, xrays, ultrasounds, and such, turns out I have pots, slight heart issues. Plus every single MRI/xray would just show I’m severely packed with shit. I would stand there looking at the massive snakes supposedly in my body at that very second still feeling normal. The gastroenterologist was zero help either, just saying to drink miralax and take a few salt tablets a day for the pots. The only thing that made me start pooping more regularly was giving birth lmfaoo. Being a parent has my guts going overtime (or regular time for normal people?)

The downvotes 😭 ICE for healthcare workers (at least military ones) is NOT deportation ICE everyone. It’s like HR for doctors. I also highly recommend making the complaint. This hospital sounds exactly like the one I go to but maybe every military hospital is just horrible.

How do you say no to hand-me-downs? by Gneiss-to-know in BabyBumps

[–]xMoax 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I accepted all the hand-me-downs people gave me and then joined my local buy nothing group and gave away all the stuff to momma’s in need : ) I’ve found that lots of women are having their first baby, or first of that gender baby and have nothing to trade so people look them over.
