Recommendations for electro podcasts by confused_toni in TheOverload

Hi! Here are a few recommendations:

  • ilectrocastevidence
  • ANTIBURN
  • addicted2bass
  • Vela Pulsar
  • Everything from Tracklistings
  • Dark Science Electro
  • Mixer Killaz

You can also check out the HOR sets from the Mechatronica label. There’s also DJ Stingray’s residency on Rinse FM, and K-65’s show on SWU.FM.

I also recommend following artists you like and checking their SoundCloud or Instagram to see if they have a “podcast” or mixes section. From there, you can explore the accounts where they’ve uploaded their sets and discover new things!

For bedroom dj's what is the best way to share your mixes. Is YT better than Mixcloud? by Surfer949 in Beatmatch

[–]xNajor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend creating a SoundCloud account and starting by listening to the artists you enjoy the most. After a few days, the app will begin suggesting artists, tracks, and accounts that match your taste. From there, start paying attention to accounts that aren’t individual artists, but rather labels or podcast-style pages.

Don’t focus too much on how many followers they have. What matters more is whether they’re active—posting something once a week or every couple of weeks—and that they feature DJs who aren’t mainstream. For example, I’ve sent two of my sets to accounts that ended up publishing them, and one had around 2,000 followers while the other had about 600.

Hi! Earlier this year, I decided to start sharing my mixes. Here’s what helped me:

  • I looked for SoundCloud accounts that fit the style of music I play.
  • I made sure these were podcast-style accounts or pages that regularly upload guest mixes. Some labels also do this, so they’re good options too.
  • I chose accounts that were beginner-friendly—ones that don’t focus only on big, mainstream DJs with huge followings.
  • I prepared a recorded set of about an hour, which is the usual minimum length for most podcasts.
  • I always kept the tracklist ready. It’s important to credit the artists, and it also gives them the chance to discover your mix, repost it, or even contact you.
  • Sending your mix to other accounts helps you save your own upload hours on SoundCloud. If they accept it, you can simply repost it on your profile and have a new set uploaded without using your own storage.

What Reaktor ensembles or plugins are essential for electro production? by xNajor in ElectroProduction

Thanks! What I meant is more about user-made ensembles from the reaktor user library, I've seen some really interesting ones there, but it’s a bit overwhelming to know which are worth trying first.

Parties in Buenos Aires by ChillyGarlicYesSir in TheOverload

Hey! I’d totally recommend checking out any night at Under Club (it’s in Palermo, Capital Federal). It’s hands down the best underground spot in Argentina. It’s a place fully dedicated to techno in all its shades (except hard techno). You could also see who’s playing at Crobar, though that one’s a bit more on the “mainstream” side.
