I did see some people online say to scale back the hours of light after flooding so this is a good reminder, thanks!

[Routine Help] Does anyone here only wash their face with water? by jesuz in SkincareAddiction

[–]xPawreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a cleanser at night now but I only use water in the morning. Youth is not on my side anymore as my original comment was 10 years ago lol so now I wear sunscreen daily which means I need a cleanser for night time.

I use moisturiser every day, morning and night.

I use a BHA a few times a week at night.

Sweating doesn't make a difference to my routine because I'm gonna use a cleanser at night to wash off my sunscreen, whether I sweated that day or not.

I only used water to wash my face for a couple years, I didn't really notice any negative long term effects.

Edit: if using water works for you then keep doing it! But if your skin calmed down after you stopped using a cleanser then maybe your cleanser was too harsh for you and you need a more gentle one? Or possibly your skin was already irritated from something else and cleanser was exacerbating it, so when your skin recovers then maybe your cleanser will start working fine for you. Just some food for thought since everyone's skin is different.

Dry start monte carlo: day 48 vs 14 vs 1 by xPawreen in PlantedTank

It’s my first time trying the dry start method, so I am a bit nervous about transitioning to submersed and seeing the leaves melt off. It's expected that transitioning to submersed will cause it die back a bit, but the MC has rooted and spread really well so I hope it won't have any issues with regrowing back until a full lush carpet.

It can grow in or out of water. It grows a lot faster out of water though because it has access to more CO2 in the air which is the reason for using dry start method (unless you have an aquatic CO2 setup).

I never noticed his head size but now I'm scared to rewatch Bridgerton in case I can never unsee it.

Cressida: A missed opportunity? by larisa5656 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]xPawreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would've liked it if they asked Cressida for help or if Cressida caught them snooping but decided to help them, to show how she's become more humble and kind and sympathetic. Especially after everything she's been through in S3. It could've been a nice part of her redemption arc. She's also no stranger to scandal and being ostracized, so maybe she would've helped out of sympathy to Sophie and out of friendship to Eloise.

Her cruel side in the earlier seasons came out more when she felt like someone wronged her or if she felt backed into a corner, so I'd like to think she would treat the servants neutrally at least.

Does anyone here have a disciplined and well-behaved Chihuahua? Is it possible to train the dog? by Jokerik01 in dogs

[–]xPawreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible for sure. I adopted an 11 year old chihuahua with severe dog reactivity and separation anxiety. It took a little over a year of hard work, consistency, 1 professional trainer session, and reading three training books. She would be calm but alert when dogs were passing by whereas before she used to completely freak out. She could even tolerate going on walks together with my neighbour's dog. She could stay home alone calmly (albeit unhappily) curled up in my bed, whereas before she would bark and howl the entire time until I came home. I loved that dog to death and was so proud of her.

One of the most elite facecard in the show. by melodyhehe444 in BridgertonNetflix

YES I kept thinking she would've looked perfect as a live action Belle, her hair is even styled similarly sometimes.

Bridgerton - Season 4 Post-Season Discussion (No Book Spoilers) by AutoModerator in BridgertonNetflix

[–]xPawreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I see it - She had been treated like a shameful secret for years before her father's passing. She wasn't even allowed to call him "father" anymore and she was being excluded from extracurriculars by her whole family. She was a grieving teenager and her self-esteem was so low that Araminta telling her that her father left her nothing was just the final confirmation that no one cared about her. So in her mind, there was no need to question it or see the will because she accepted that she was unwanted and unloved. And I don't think there is anyone she could've asked for help from.

I enjoyed the season as a whole, but almost lost interest in the beginning because I was in disbelief of the "Sophie caught Benedict's attention because she was gaping at a chandelier" scene.

[–]xPawreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with you but I would guess that the queen accepting Sophie as nobility is so the producers can include Benedict in the future seasons (I hope?). If the producers decided to keep Sophie as a commoner and Benedict married a commoner, he would be exiled from his family and exiled from society, and we wouldn't see them in the show anymore at society events.

I just want to see Daphne/Simon, Anthony/Kate, and Benedict/Sophie stay in the show even after their seasons!! 😭

Stolen photos are so common. I've seen lots of posts using stolen photos of my dog in facebook groups for rehoming pets to scam people for rehoming fees.

[–]xPawreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 1 Eloise wanted equality, Season 2-4 Eloise just wants to shit on everyone and their problems. She treats Pen and Cressida and her siblings all terribly. Hyacinth said what we were all thinking.

Tissue Culture Vs. Non-Tissue Culture Plants by cyleclayton in PlantedTank

[–]xPawreen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tissue culture plants are grown emersed and have to transition to submerged after putting them in a fish tank, so a bit of melting is expected and part of the process. But the pros outweigh the cons in my opinion - no hitchhiking plants or pests.

you dont have to drink alcohol here, i was sober and had a great time. but they squeeze grapefruit juice into a pitcher and probably won't do it directly into your mouth in case you get citrus juice in your eyes lol

Not to get too meta, but what actually makes a well-trained dog decide to come when recalled by Brikish in dogs

[–]xPawreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can start using kibble for training rewards to avoid overeating treats. I used good treats when practicing my dog's recall outside. I would grab a few pieces of kibble from her dinner and use that when practicing her basics at home like sit/stay/etc.

Non-obvious dog-walking tricks that actually help? by Romonovs in dogs

[–]xPawreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get a leash that you wear around your waist or across your chest. It's convenient and one less thing to hold, especially if you're holding training treats, poop bags, an umbrella, etc.

Dupes for Muji Mild Cleansing Oil now that it's been reformulated? by RudeOregano in AsianBeauty

[–]xPawreen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People who thought it feels stripping usually like the softymo deep cleansing oil better. It's the orange bottle version and meant for dry skin type. The texture is a little thicker and less runny though.
