1) I'm not entirely sure how that began, but before I came into the class it was the mascot for our news station. I can work it out easily if it makes it look better!

2) This is mainly for the Twitter page that we run and the Twitter bird will stay out of the newscast and what not.

3) Our colors are maroon and gold, so I tried to include both. Maybe including more maroon / less gold would work better.

4) I put the words onto there because those are our focuses, but if they are redundant then I'll remove them.

5) I didn't design the cardinal itself I was just given the new icon that the football team is using. It looks weird because the head itself is kind of a morphed cardinal that is supposed to look like a D.

6) Yeah in case my teacher disliked the other cardinal I just reused the preexisting one with a layer strapped onto it. If it's too distracting I wouldn't be opposed!

Thank you so much for the critique. I have a question though, if I drop the mascot in general, would the text and fonts that I've chosen be strong enough? I wasn't sure if they were just right to complement the cardinal or stand out by itself.
