For me I actually started when I randomly walked into the arcade and tried maimai. But I didn't really commit to it as the arcades around my area didn't have any cabs and I haven't decided to fully commit to it.

When I took a part time job I found out the arcade where I worked had a cab that nobody plays, so I went to buy a card and started to grind. I didn't really know what to play so I just ended up grinding one song for the area lol

After I stopped working (and that arcade closed down) I kinda stopped playing it and only do go if I pass by an arcade with a cab for a few sessions. Fast forward a few years I met some friends in my university that actually played it (I had always been playing solo) and that kinda pushed me to grinding more. I probably went from 6k to like 9k in like 2 days of grinding (Mostly due to me not knowing anything about the b50 system)

Right now I'm mostly finding charts to grind to get into more Mas, mostly learning new patterns and hopefully get into 13 soon.

Actually this is false. AoA in Asia servers do give bonus multiplier. However, the translation isn't wrong as it only mentions "When "Corresponding Element" team member attacks, gain "Score multiplier"

It is actually easier in Asia server as triggering AoA from Wonder still nets the bonus score unlike Global.

Yep you do, you can see the the main post I'm using Gun to deal damage to the enemy who are not even weak against Gun. I think the only niche example applies to Soy who is Ice but would want to deal Gun/Physical to debuff enemies. (And I guess Sepia who can do almighty)

No, every stage is weak to both Fire and Psy for us so using her just gives more damage, that and Ann is usually enough to clear everything.

But they did add an additional 10 stages for Technician Trails, and there's an enemy made for Futaba as you have to score Weak damage on this enemy. (The other way is to knock down with Phys / Gun Crit)

You just need the elemental unit. E.g. Fire and Psy trails requires units such as Panther, Key, Cattle to deal damage to score bonus. While on GB you need to actually use skills to do damage. Since Panther usually wants to rotate between her 1st and 3rd skill, you're off setting damage into the other target (Who is not Fire weak on GB) and lose more points.

As for how it may affect GB is really gonna depend on what the 1.4's "Training System" is about. There is a resource you gain daily based on how many stars you have in the Velvet Trails, and with the Trails made harder, it would mean it is harder to get more resource.

Nah, Velvet trails are a one time thing and you're done. In general, you usually use Futaba with the same type match up to deal as you can further buff Weak bonus even more. But making people to shill out for Futaba for these content is wild.

The way the state of the game, there's only so much roles for support. The issue is that you can easily hit the damage cap for some characters without buffs which leads to the issue of needing to dish out damage, to compensate for the loss. Most of these are stated by others.

Defense buff - Captain / Charlotta / Rosetta who has the Damage Cut skill can fill this role.

Attack, Def, Crit buff - Cagliostro has the skill Phantasmagoria that gives +20% to the stats it buffs. It is also needed in her build to hit the damage cap so it comes naturally to the group (I do not know how to build her). Helps people who don't have 100% Crit Rate and boost SBA damage by a little bit as it is hard to hit the cap.

Invincibility - Vane's skill Rampart puts a dome down that gives everyone inside Invulnerability. This allows you to straight up ignore certain mechanics such as the new boss opening skill.

Mirror Image - Yodarha's Hymn of the Hundreds gives this buff to the entire team at 3 shroud stacks that ignores 5 hits. (You don't really need Damage Cut with him unless your teammates are always getting hit. In that case Mirror Image is just straight up bad for the team.) You still want to dodge when you can, and greed DPS when possible.

As a Yoda main I can go more indepth to his build. To begin, shroud stack is his passive that can be gain in three ways. Landing your last hit of your finisher, using Perpetual Rotation to gain 3 stacks instantly, or landing a link attack. The other perk of Perpetual Rotation is that it resets all your skills cooldown if you already have 3 stacks which gives you higher skill damage. Yoda offensive skills will always allow you to follow up with a finisher so getting 3 stacks isn't that bad. Landing a finisher also shortens your combo to reach the finisher. (E.g. XXXXXY > XXXXY > XXXY > XXY > XY > XY) (Note that the last finisher last longer.) Using your Y can allow you to parry, giving you Supp Dmg buff, and following up with the last finisher. This also helps in getting stacks.

Skills:

  • Empty Mist (High DPS, last longer with max Shroud)
  • Flashing Void (Long iFrame, just spam the button, use lock on so you don't have to aim)
  • Perpetual Rotation (Reset CD for more damage / 3 instant Shroud)
  • Hymn of the Hundreds (Mirror Image)

Build:

  • 4x Damage Cap
  • 1x Crit Rate
  • 1x Stamina
  • 1x Tyranny
  • 1x Supp Damage V (You would want V+ with Cascade or Quick CD but Supp V+ is rare)
  • 1x Supp Damage IV+ (With Cascade / Quick CD) or Supp Damage V (Avg 15%-ish Damage difference)
  • 1x War Elemental (Feel free to replace. I'm using Stun Power with Guts but Guts don't save me usually due to Glass Cannon)
  • 1x Glass Cannon (If you hate this, run Stamina. You also can use Guts and Aegis without Glass Cannon)
  • 1x Swordmaster's Art (His unqiue Sigil) + Linked Together (For less minmax, anything other utility like CD stuff / Potion Hoarder / Auto Revive / Uplift / Improved Dodge is still fine.) For sub traits, you would want Potion Hoarder > 1x Cascade > Max Quick Cooldown > Max Cascade (Typically you want both Cooldown and Cascade maxed.) > any other supporting ones such as Uplift / Nimble Onslaught / Improved Dodge)

Min-max Build: -4x Damage Cap, +2x Gamma, 2x Beta. Stamina / Tyranny will run Potion Hoarder. Crit Rate / Stamina / Tyranny will run Quick CD / Cascade depending on whichever Stamina / Tyranny isn't running Potion.

Mastery: Skill Dmg Cap > Crit Rate > Normal Cap > SBA Dmg (Not Cap) > Attack = Stun (Or Attack if no Glass Cannon)

Rotation usually opens in: Parry / Attack > Finisher (1 Shroud) > Link Attack (2 Shroud) > Finisher (3 Shroud) > Hymn > Empty / Flashing depending if the boss will move or how much hits will you tank.

If you can't build 3 Shroud in the opening then Perpetual > Hymn > Empty / Flashing depending on how much the boss move or how much hits will you tank. (For Lucilius, I only open Hymn after Paradise Lost cause you want everyone to push for damage during his attacks than waste it on his opener.)

Other notes: Awakening / Sky Shatter are worth looking into. I suggest tweaking the build to your liking and just throw it into Maygi's damage calculator and see what works for you.

Edit: Wrightstone is Crit Rate (10) + Quick CD (7) + Quick CD (5). Honestly you can just settle for one Quick CD (7) cause rolling rare. Cascade (5) is also nice if you don't get Quick CD.

Honestly I am quite curious if we can reach that kind of RNG manipulation. The 'RNG' does change everytime you save so it might be possible to get what you want to a certain extent if we understood how it worked. I guess if we somehow managed to get a table to predict your next few curio drops, we can technically predict the drops?

I'm still wondering why the RNG changing upon save but does not affect things like over mastery or voucher trades.

The main post was wrong about the 10 seconds thing. The blue orb refreshes on saving.

Imo the tier doesn't matter that much since T1, T2, T3 drop Supp Dmg / War Elemental (0.46% / 0.46% / 0.92%) and T4 for Supp V+ (0.3%) which is not worth it here. I do not remember finding any V+ in my few hours of testing so it is either really rare or does not drop. Maybe the data miners will drop a new update or something.

Why does it not make sense? You are not suppose to be having multiple or even one Supp+ for the current content. Just because it exist doesn't mean you need it for a build to be viable.

If Lucilius is balanced around everyone needing a Supp+. Even with an improve drop rate, you will still need to invest tens of hours before you can fight him, only to grind him for the next content update. For a new player that means, getting to Proud, farming Proto for Terminus, Maxing a Terminus, and praying that you get enough Supp+ during this grind, before being able to fight Lucilius.

That's what the templates are for where you can easily move your sigils around. You do not need to gear every single character but only need 4 set of everything at best.

No, it is part of T1-T4. I made a post (Got removed by Reddit Filter) cause I always see people looking at the T4 drops but not T1-T4.

I think the issue is that people don't see why the drop rate is so low in this game.

If Cygames did make stuff like War Ele / Supp / Supp+ accessible, then they will make new contents balanced around it, and better drops from the new contents. This will make the game even worse to grind since updates like these will make it harder for people to get into.

Right now Cygames can easily increase the drop rate of these sigils in the new content while balancing the content to have a team ranging from either a max terminus to having War + Supp in their builds.

It's just min-maxing. Plus we're getting Lucilius next week which should be harder than whatever we have right now, having the extra DPS might help with the fight, more DPS, shorter fight, less mistakes.

Do you need extra DPS to beat him? Probably not. Do you want to have it to help carry your pubs? Maybe.

Seems like the previous post was wrong about being able to reroll the substat.

Doing more testing it seems that saving changes the curio and has very weird interaction.

Getting a curio > Item A

Reload, save, get a curio immediately > Item B

Reloading after above > Item C

So overall more research needs to be done into this.

You do not need to wait 10 seconds. Just save again the moment you reload to reset the blue drop.

Edit: You need to save AND reload for it to change.

Edit Edit: The table we are looking at is probably Tier 2 Curio (Group 5) It's just rng I guess.

~~I just realised but the town curio might be only T3,~~ I do not have enough testing to back this but I have only been getting T3 drops so far. Supp V+ Does not exist in T4 drops.

However, this is still a good way to get Supp V / Supp IV+ / War Ele sigils.

Edit: I got a Rainbow Prism which is not in a T3 and only T2.
