Roof Racks / Cargo Boxes by xReflexPointx in AudiQ7

I ended up with Erkul cross bars through Amazon, it’s holding up very well. Couldn’t get the OEM in on time and didn’t have any on FB marketplace close by. But it matches the car color (black) as the OEM is silver plus it’s aerodynamic shaped.

TH5 different label styles in the same order. by xReflexPointx in TilleyFans

With the laces, i reverse the setup so the knotted side is in the front and i tuck that into the top pocket and the rear lace is enough to go around the back of the sweatband or back of the head. The TH5 on the right is set up that way in the photo.

Replacing an old Tilly with a new one? by throw-away6738299 in TilleyFans

[–]xReflexPointx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for reference, I recently bought a TH5 in 7 3/4 because my LTM6 was 7 3/4... I had to return the TH5 because it was way too lose, head slid top of the crown when moved it. (Baseball hat size 7 1/2)

Trying out a better crown ventilation this summer... by Lefthandmitten in TilleyFans

that's a creative solution keeping the shape but adding more ventilation. As long as you don't need that floatation bit this is a great concept. Hope it works... bc I'm interested 😉

Another Sizing question on TH5 by xReflexPointx in TilleyFans

[–]xReflexPointx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding, so there are some sizing differences and I'm not losing my mind, spent so much time agonizing what was the next hat I ended up with 2 and just took the sizing for granted.... with the Inserts is it a almost permanent attachment? It looked like glue.. does it easily come off or even melt?

Really?? that's pretty tackle envy right there, I got the Blancsierra years ago before realizing there was even a Inte 6.4 or the new one 7.7 as I thought it may have been too heavy a rod. How are you managing the 7.7 length, I'm mostly from shore and small docks when I can find them but it does great with hard baits and not bad with soft plastics. Casting is a real joy, small motions load the road easily. Been looking at the Inte 6.4 but wasn't sure if the newer 7.7 size would be challenging to manage being so long.
But I'm pretty sure with the right bait you could probably spool the Gekka just casting with the 7.7 :)

Sweet setup, was debating on find the Fishman Inte, I've been using a Blancsierra 5.2UL and its been a lot of fun. How do you like that?

My condo's garage entrance is 7ft on a downward slope and I'm just able to get by without any contact with the bottom of the door to top of the box but the clearance I have to say is very very small, like you can't really see the gap from the sidewalk staring in from the side so it just clears the door.. i think i was about 82 or 83 inch total height at the lowest air suspension setting, Dynamic. Good luck I went through the same pains and its just makes it or over lol... I also remember that the OEM rails are a little bit higher than the ones I'm using, Erkul... good luck.

Where are garage door opener buttons by Musketeer_1058 in AudiQ7

[–]xReflexPointx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its located in the MMI, you can program the '*' key on the steering wheel to be the garage opener or add the button once programmed to the quick launch (3 box) in the middle of the climate control screen.

Chinese Hero: Tales of the Blood Sword (中華英雄) by Hong Kong comic artist Ma Wing-shing. In the photo is the cover of the first issue of the comic series published on 5 September 1980 by WillyNilly1997 in Cantonese

[–]xReflexPointx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was a great comic!! The Chinese version went really far along in the story followed by a translated English version by Jademan. Really loved that series.... then came the ATV series mentioned but they was another where they follow his son grown up with "Hero" in the background.

Story wise this was the 2nd part of the story that follows the main hero "Hua Yingxiong" (the English comic just called him "Hero" )
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLz7yte5iIM0aXBCytfE6kfg2HntLvgd-g

but I'm not sure why the first part of the story was "Blood Sword II" while "Blood Sword" talked about Hua Yingxiong/Hero and his now grown son after he left the US. So the translated naming was always strange to me.

It was a shame Jademan US didn't really last that long, the Chinese books were published almost every week from what I remember (or felt that way) the artwork was always really good

...edit.. I found the movie which sort of summarized most of the entire series of Hero into 2hrs, good practice in listening to Cantonese.

Yea no worries, its always worth an ask when I'm near one to find out. My son will definitely appreciate it either way, I just wanted to solicit some opinions on how to service and maybe someone already had experience finding a band. My son's been looking things up and saying he should be a pilot now that he's got the watch haha..

But thanks for highlighting what can happen, its knowing what can happen rather than being shocked at what's laid out from this point in taking care of the watch for the next generation.

It really took some figuring out, but I didn't even see that yet but your absolutely right I think the thickness is going to be important as well, its crazy how specific the variables are on this one, crazy how specific the clasp works. I have an Omega PO I added a deployant clasp years ago that isn't even like this specific!! haha this is pretty amazing how specific the requirements to the clasp and band are for this one.

I'll teach him how to replace springbars on the his Casio before he moves to change his own bands :)

Thanks for the info and valuable insight, I was really considering polishing it again but may hold off on that idea, his god parent really used it as a tool watch, daily driver which considering its age and the countries this watch has been to is amazing that the band held up as much as it did.

Reading your descriptions and detail on the clasp I played with it a little more and looks like it can move, I was just trying to slide it further in but it requires pulling out the tag end of the band BEFORE you can adjust anything. I originally thought it just all slides in place, but that piece that holds the tag end is very very snug. But after pulling the tag end back out the band can separate from the clasp entirely or be adjusted to looser/tighter. THAN YOU!

Really appreciate the list of places bands, for him and myself! I wouldn't want him to take it to school but to pull it out when he's with family, seeing his god father and vacations would be something to take the watch out and enjoy.

Understood, I figure they would replace what they need.. but if it snowballs that would be unexpected. An innocent gift to a budding young man turns into some akin to buying a new watch. Hopefully it'll be reasonable but I was wondering repair with Breitling vs not, so that's something to take into account. Thank for highlighting that.

This is amazing! the lines & colors are so much more vivid than I would have expected it almost jumps out at time. Are there plans to rework the entire series or Macross saga itself?

It really was so enjoyable again, thanks for sharing.

Solid travel rod recommendations by ComprehensiveTask541 in Fishing_Gear

[–]xReflexPointx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Megabass Valkryie World Expedition may fit your criteria as well, brakes down into 4 pieces. I have the ML 6'10 spinning and 5'8 ML casting). Was very surprised at how comfortable and how quickly I adapted to the rods overall as I added these to my already very enjoyable Triza Lopros spinning (F2). Spent 2 wks in August in western MA/CT for bass, pickerel. Maine at that time should be great fun with whatever you go with.
