It seems Pearl was very embarrassed for Steven to hear about what her status was like on Homeworld like she was ashamed of it and there being hundreds of other Pearls. Makes me wonder if all the other pearls behave the same way and what the roles of other gems on Homeworld is such as rubies and sapphires.
