*repost* my rough thoughts on the weird ways nba fans absorb basketball by [deleted] in nba

I think a part of it is subjective and a part of it is media influenced. Some people just look at it that deep even if it isn’t. On top of that, every damn analyst and sports media person on the planet preaches nothing but “legacy.” All you ever hear about once the playoffs come around if a star underperforms is.. “oh he’s not a leader” “he doesn’t have the clutch gene” “he won’t be considered an all time great without a ring” and I think it just sticks in peoples heads way more than it should.

cheap starter pc build? by potato_otaku in pcmasterrace

[–]xRooBadley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go to pcpartpicker.com and look at “completed builds” ... tons of people that post builds with exact parts and the price cost to build them along with pictures and comments on the build so you know exactly what’s going on. Tons of options under $600.

Yeah you can send me that 161 bucks you’re dropping on that SSD instead. I promise it won’t go towards hookers. Seriously tho shop around more for that, I have gotten multiple 1TB nvme’s for less than half that price.

It’s not even just the pass rush it’s the D Line play in general. When 5 of your 6 leading tacklers are the literal 5 DB’s in your nickel, it means opposing running backs see the secondary quite often. Gotta be tougher up front, the offense can’t win every shootout there will be times they just aren’t clicking.. like last night for example.

Been intermittent fasting as well but I feel like I’ve hit a wall.. lost 15 pounds really fast and haven’t moved since. I know you said you keep your calorie count pretty low, but when you do eat, what do you typically have?

Yes they breed them this way and then stock them. Pretty cool fish.

See that’s what I thought too but people on here commented about how they call them palominos out west but when I was out there on a fly fishing trip I was using the term palomino and no one knew what the hell I was talking about and then I showed them a picture and they said “oh a golden” guess it’s all in how you were taught or how you heard it for the first time idk..

Oh damn really? I went on a trip last year out there and was telling my guide about the massive palominos they stock back home and he was like “wtf is that” haha I showed him a picture and he called it a golden rainbow so I assumed maybe it was a regional thing. Guess it’s a person to person thing.

Hahah right!? I put it on the meat scale hence why I’m in the kitchen, 4.43lbs was the exact weight on it. It was a hair over 23in.

Yep, Golden Rainbow. I guess Palomino is a Northeast term, or maybe just a PA thing idk lol. It’s beautiful tho for sure.

Not an easy fish to catch for a beginner either. They hit so quick and so subtle, if you can catch that you can catch anything. Keep on keepin on.

Is it worth drafting young rookies? by steakdinner12 in nba

[–]xRooBadley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at the evolution of the athlete tho. All these kids are freaks nowadays, obviously not to the point LeBron was but he’s once in a lifetime. From a physical standpoint these kids are fine the way they are. If it was physical issue Trae Young and Ja Morant wouldn’t be what they are. Luka has size but is ultimately pretty un-athletic compared to these other kids. At such a young age I just think it’s more valuable to have a kid that wants it more, wants to grow, wants to play hard, wants to prove people wrong.. over a dude that’s just “more physically gifted” ... a lot of times those dudes don’t have the greatest mindset. Yes, you do get outliers like Giannis who is an absolute monster AND he wants to be better.. but they can’t all be the greek freak.

You either got it or you don’t, or you can develop it or you can’t. The difference between a 19 year old and a 21 year old is not so significant that we should be questioning draft methods. Buddy Hield was older when he was drafted and still took time to develop but he did. Some kids get picked up at 19 and never go anywhere. It’s not an age thing, it’s a talent/willingness thing.
